      Nice Ben! Pretty straight forward repair! Just make sure to bleed the air a couple times, before and after starting it for a minute. :)

    Of course the hood shocks are bad. Chrysler hoods are opened 100 times more than other brands...just joking lol

      Oh yeah, certainly need to look those over first. Smoke tests help when needed.

    I had same code and check engine light on, I changed thermostat then it over heated within driving 2 miles would overheat. So took thermostat off and pulled out spring problem solved.

      You likely had an air pocket. These need the air bled out since they don’t self bleed well.

    I changed the thermostat because it was bad and the check engine light on I'm wondering if I unhooked the battery will that clear the check engine light?

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, the check engine light will need to be reset or cleared. If the problem is fixed it will turn off the light after about 50 trouble free drive cycles. Which is cold to warm and then cooled off again being 1 cycle.

    I had this exact same issue and repaired the thermometer. My check engine light wont shut off though. Any ideas??

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually P0128 codes are cause by thermostat sticking open, or a coolant temp sensor/air temp sensor issue.

    What happens if after change thermostat check engine till coming on ??

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If the code is still a P0128 it might be a temp sensor issue.

  • @pedrosaenz5864
    @pedrosaenz5864 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Mine did the same. Change the thermostat and still shows the same code again. What else could it be???

    • @JimmyMakingitwork
      @JimmyMakingitwork  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Check that the air and coolant temps are very close to the same when the engine is cold. Using a scanner. If they are it could be a defective thermostat.
