EDIT: Someone told me that I forgot to mention the language, which Is a good point!
In many parts of Italy most people only speak Italian and thats also the case along the VF. I think I mention it in the First Part of the hiking video, but not here. I speak a little Italian, so we managed to get through and usually using your hand and feet while trying to communicate will work out, but having a translator (google translate for example) or learning some basics before going there surely helps and is always appreciated by the locals.
