Ahh another lover of the VF! We absolutely loved this walk. Lucca is such a gorgeous town. We had dogs following us all the time, fortunately, most were friendly. Great to see your channel, look forward to seeing more videos.
Great video! My wife and I are thinking of going from Lucca to Rome in November. Really hard to find info on whether accommodations/restaurants are open or not. What do you think?
Hey Graham! Thank you! I can't really tell you about November, but December/January was pretty limited. If you want, check the links in this or the Via Francigena survival guide video, there are links where where you can find the accommodations along the way, sometimes they even tell which months they are open/closed. th-cam.com/video/6Mx5sxO3S9A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=UMMJCBGEhhGaETD5 Greetings
@@betsywaters8470 Yes there were actually quite a few closed in winter, and most of them reopen in March/April and are open usually until October/November. If you check out the links in the description, you can sometimes even find the months these accomodations are open. Anyway, if walking in Summer I would definitly book in advance if possible, cause compered to the Camino you have WAY less possibilities. Maybe check out the Survival Guide Video for further infos about that ;) th-cam.com/video/6Mx5sxO3S9A/w-d-xo.htmlsi=APO0ljaQpGt5EpJj
Ola Amigo, I have no idea where Bici Ha is but I did not walk through it, disculpa 😅 If you are looking for any places, check the link in the description, there you find accommodations from Canterbury until Puglia
@@joseleite3606 www.viefrancigene.org/en/accommodations-facilities/ check this link, there you find any accommodations and also IF they are open, as this changes frequently and very much during the different seasons.
Really enjoyed your journey. Could you please tell me if I have to call or write to the shelter to book a bed? English is not my first language, maybe I missed this information. Thank you.

Hey! thanks a lot. We walked the whole stretch from Lucca to Romeo from December 2022 to January 2023
Were some services closed for the season, do you think in the spring or summer there would be more open services ? thanks @@strawanza2502
