- Via Francigena is a 2200 km pilgrimage route that goes from Canterbury UK to Rome.
This past spring, we had an opportunity to walk a small portion of the Italian route to Rome through the Tuscan region, a 550 Km journey.
We started the walk from Sarzanna. Our route continued onwards into the Tuscan country, Bolsena Lake district and finally arrive at the eternal city of Rome.

How beautiful ! Thanks for sharing your amazing pilgrimage adventure !
Congrats, so beautiful and well explained. Wich month did you do it?
How many days did it take?
From Sarzanna to Rome is about 22 days of walking, average about 20 km per day. We took rest days at Lucca and Siena. We followed the stages from the Cicerone guide book, mostly anyway.
Fantastic video, thank you!
Thank you, glad you like it. One beautiful walk.
