  • My 06 mountaineer with power folding seats had the problem with the gears of the drivers side seat being stripped. The motor can still be heard running but the seat wouldn't move. I removed some covers and got visual access to the motor which I then drilled a hole then used a screw driver to assist the seat being raised

Great Fix! Worked like a dream. I went to Ford and had them estimate the fix. They priced me 300 per seat and 350 estimated for labor. Way to come up a great fix!!

+Bilal Asif I had to drill a "notch" to grab with a large screwdriver.

Is there any way at all to move the seat without a motor or with a bad motor?

Lack of detail. Screwdriver does what to what?

I just hit the junkyard and bought a working motor for $20, half hour to install it

Endless camera movement, out of focus, can’t see at all what you are doing with the screwdriver. How about a redo of the video. Should be able to do it in about 30 seconds. This video as it is provided zero value
