Please don’t confuse everyone. This transmission can be saved. All that’s needed is a new valve body, filter and fluid. Those metallic debris is not major and is normal for these CVTs. If you find missing plates from the metal band or huge junks of debris then transmission might be toast. I’ve done cvts in the same exact shape that only needed the valve body and was back to good as new.
How much did it coast to get this fixed? We have a 2016 rouge that might be having transmission issues. Jerking while accelerating, rpm needle bouncing around and trouble starting.
Your Rogue may be eligible/part of the class action lawsuit for transmission failures which could award you an extended warranty that will allow you to take it to a Nissan dealer and have it rebuilt
Jerking is a pseudo shift symptom. It may be your valve body but that literally shifts your transmission in a variable manner that is not distinctive to the average driver. For this a pseudo shift through the speed sensor is what I would chase first. It could be a communication issue sensor-wise. Im prolly wrong but I'd rather chase the easier way computer wise, What is the code?
@@aladdinthejuan3487 Nissan has been ordered to pay $430,000,000 to the dealers that will be servicing a claimants transmission. If you cannot work it out with your Nissan dealer, you can take your rogue to a mechanic that will install a transmission cooler radiator so that the transmission will not overheat and force itself into Limp mode. There is a Nissan Service Bulletin that every Nissan tech recieved that goes into detail on how this radiator is to be done so do obtain it and give it to your mechanic.
For the body 160 to 300 depending where you go. But if your wise and diligent you can get it for about 170. The work depends on the shop. Figure 3 hour 90 an hour. minimum labor.

Great vid, educational, plus good shots for freeze frame reference. The valve body has gone through changes but the general s.o.p. is the same.

3rd person to ask, how much to fix?
Old comment and video but looking at around $4K to replace one of these cvt. Basically almost what one of these cars is worth.
Buy vehicle for $1000, buy $30 stepper motor and 1hr labor install then sell for $5500😂
So many pauses 😂
