The fact that, instead of raising the award in the air, they pulled Damar into their arms to comfort him through his tears speaks volumes for the humans on that stage. ❤

I want to just flat out say that the training staff did not just “do their job” the day Damar Hamlin passed- they saved the life of a man in front of over 60,000 people in Cincinnati and over 3,000,000 watching on television. They had to work under all that pressure and still saved Damar’s life- it has been so beautiful seeing Damar begin to become so outright thankful for everything, and he can play 1 game next year and he’ll still win Comeback Player of the Year, because no matter how bad you were previously, overcoming death is the greatest achievement

The Bills medical staff must've felt more anxiety than all of us, as they knew it was their responsibility from then on to save Damar's life in front of millions of people watching. They knew how to act, they put their training to the test, and proved how skilled they are and that their job matters a lot. We can never have enough people educated in academics and sciences. It's both game changing and life changing knowledge to have.
the first one to him knew right away that it was bad. I don't recall then man's name but he immediately said he didn't like the way Hamlin went down and called on his radio for all support. That obsevation in a split second is amazing then for all to perform so valiantly when they knew ... inspiring
The Buffalo Bills training staff deserves more than they can ever imagine. They didn’t just help Damar with what they thought was an injury, rather a cardiac arrest, for which they saved his life. All love for Damar ❤
I didn't. That was an awful speech. For fucks sakes dude talked about AED. Make it emotional mf. I would have been up there sobbing thanking my mom and calling her the real MVP and how I came from the projects. Never thought I'd make it here I'd say. 😅
I have been an athletic trainer for 22 years. I was in tears seeing this. He's right they were just doing their job. We practice these scenarios everyday. We hope we never have to use CPR or an AED but it absolutely saves lives. Seeing Damar's genuine emotion and gratitude is beautiful. I'm soooo proud of these athletic trainers and our profession.
Thank y’all for being the heroes of these teams. Without the you guys there won’t be great athletes that we that we see today. As a person that had to be revived using CPR it’s definitely a important proseguir to train on.

If anyone recalls the Bills training staff led the way in sideline treatment for players with severe spinal injuries. In 2007 when TE Kevin Everett was paralyzed during a game they saved his life. The Bills at the time were the only training staff in the NFL to be prepared with a sideline training staff to deal with such an injury. Everett was eventually able to walk again.

Then cried more when everyone gave him a standing ovation (which they stayed standing that whole time, which is paying some AWESOME respect). Then I was a bawling when the whole staff huddled around Damar to comfort/support him. Amazing!
Man that made me tear up. The love and appreciation that Damar has for these heroes is incredible. The way he understands what these men and women meant to him on that horrible day is what gets me emotional. Very moving. Well articulated. Well deserved with a “to-do” list message for caring about our youth in sports. We have lost too many youths in sports that didn’t have the same level of medical staff available. His words were not empty.
They truly saved a life that night! My son plays football and I pray if something were to ever happen to him the team around him are able to save his life!! #3

When you know its gonna be sad and click it anyways, Respect to everyone who reacted and saved damars life, and way to acknowledge the other teams staff that came to help also, true professionals
this is humbleness at its finest. "just doing their job" is a statement that should resonate with every human being. and to acknowledge everyone that was involved in this ordeal that lead to this wonderful outcome shows even more how humble they are. and Damar's tears shows how eternally grateful he is to this amazing group of people for bringing him back to life.
Very glad Pat is still serving us through this honor. Helluvaman to walk away from a check and a game he trained his entire life for so that he could serve his country when compelled and called by his spirit. Damar's gratefulness was truly genuine and the dedication of medical staff and trainers who work everyday to make others lives better while being in "the shadows" is a noble act of service... ... the truth is those acts are all around us everyday... the bus driver, the teacher, the laborer, janitor, et cetera!
I'm all choked up here. A beautiful moment in NFL history. This award was well deserved. They saved Damar and the world witnessed it. And we saw the power of unity and prayer. I'm not religious but something miraculous happened that day. Football is *family.* And at the end of the day we are all on the same team.
Pat Tillman was killed by friendly fire and his mother had to fight for years to find out her sons cause of death. He was also a harsh critic of the Iraq war. So happy that Damar is well, so thankful for the incredible work done by amazing people that brought him back to life.
I know incredibly sad story, pat was a really good football player and all around great guy. I didn’t know him personally, but was a child when he died from friendly fire and it was a really sad story.
Also drafted to the Arizona Cardinals, he was such a great player and better human being. He cares for others more than himself and was heart breaking to see him go.
Now I’m crying! They never gave up on him! This man died but kept going! He only spent a couple of days in the hospital thanks to them! They deserve all the love, support, and flowers! 😭
exactly. i read an article that some girl from Western New York was at that game in Cincinnati, she took donations for a couple days and for lunch and dinner brought 100 meals to the doctors and nurses at the hospital, and said it was from Bills nation.
There were so many heroes in this situation- from the training staff to his family to the hospital and ems personnel to Damar himself. And who knows how many other lives have/will be saved because it sparked so many to do CPR training and AED purchases.

Life is so precious, yet so fragile. Thank you to the medical team for saving his life.
go get your local pfizer shot :)
@@Memebrain777 Cole Beasley didn't get the Jab, that's why he's so good while every other receiver in the NFL is basically done.

That was SO WELL DONE! Written, delivered, humble. The message and inclusion was really something.
I recently got cpr and aed certified 🙏 it is serious and can help save a life, what a great job by that medical staff and all the ones saving lives out there on the daily 🙏❤️
Outstanding!!!!!
After watching what happened that night I went and got certified myself I just don't want to stand by anymore and wait for paramedics if I can help save a precious life I'm all in.
One of the best things that will come from this incident is more people getting CPR certified. 👏
I’m thankful for all the prayers lifted up for this talented player … it’s so wonderful he is still here enjoying life so much … I’m one who always remembered him in prayer
This is what being a human is about!!! No color, no politics, and just love!!!
Agreed!!!
Greatly put
exactly
Yet here you are mentioning it
Facts ❤
Wow, what a moment! I definitely cried as soon as I saw Damar tear up. Then cried more when everyone gave him a standing ovation (which they stayed standing that whole time, which is paying some AWESOME respect). Then I was a bawling when the whole staff huddled around Damar to comfort/support him. Amazing!
Gratitude for all you folks did for Damar🎉😎❤️🏈
Man that made me tear up. The love and appreciation that Damar has for these heroes is incredible. The way he understands what these men and women meant to him on that horrible day is what gets me emotional. Well deserved is their praise and gratitude, not to mention that award went to the perfect candidates!
Teared up watching this. Strong message and leaders
This is why I’m so excited to be a nurse. We save people’s lives and get to see them live theirs after a set back.
Exactly. It warms my heart and makes me happy that I can positively impact someone’s life one day.
I cried ❤. Thank you medical team. Go Damar Hamlin 3❤
In tears watching this. God Bless Damar and God Bless the entire Bills training staff.
Glad you are still with us! The entire NFL followers Damir sent prayers your way!
Loved this…As a member of the military that served in Afghan and Iraq, so happy this team earned the award. Shows what’s it’s truly about. There is no color. He’s a human being. Damar, so happy you are still with us. Training staff, so happy you were there. Could not be prouder.
Thank you for your service♥️🇺🇸
Go Damar!!! I’m glad the bills staff is getting the love they rightfully deserve! Let’s also not forget to give the Cincy staff and the Cincy hospital and the people of Cincy love too. ♥️
Did you listen to the speech? They acknowledged a lot of people including the hospital
@@amandavee0x yeah I 100% listened to the entire speech. It made me cry. I was just looking through the comments and didn’t see enough love for what I said. I appreciate everyone who was there that made a difference. I just wanted to shine the light on those others who made a difference
Big thank you to the Bills, and Bengals medical staffs for saving Demar. From a Bengals fan that was such a hard thing to witness happen. Both teams were amazing that night and by doing so saved a young mans life.
Also, thank you to The University of Cincinnati Medical for all they did to help save Demar.
Saved his life 🙏🏾
How do you not cry with this boy.
What a blessing for everyone.
What a great moment
So heart-touching! NFL brothers & family have always came together in time of need, for 1 player to multiple players, that’s what makes this amazing Sport in the USA so astonishing! Love🏈Live🏈Footbal
We should all stride to live for moments like this… where you can truly feel the love for total strangers.
I couldn't be more proud of this organization with all we went thru last season. God bless this medical staff and of course... GO BILLS!!!!!
Glad to see him recovered and ready to play football. This man defied the odds. Commotio cordis has a 97% fatality rate if not treated within 3 minutes.
Very moving. Well articulated. Well deserved with a “to-do” list message for caring about our youth in sports. We have lost too many youths in sports that didn’t have the same level of medical staff available. His words were not empty.
As a bills fan I was ecstatic🙏🏽! Forget about a espy, Oscar, Grammy or Emmy. The biggest honor in the world is saving someone’s life!
Nate is from my home town Webster, SD. A great guy, very proud of him and his actions in saving this young mans life. Fantastic speech!!
They truly saved a life that night! My son plays football and I pray if something were to ever happen to him the team around him are able to save his life!! #3
Beautiful moment. Love is real
Why is this making me cry and I don’t even know him like that, but this award as well deserved especially if you’re a football fan you know we could have almost could’ve lost that young man.
Facts
This is beautiful. I work in the medical field and cardiac has always been my passion. This medical staff did a fantastic job.
I remember where I was when he collapsed it was beautiful watching everyone drop what they are doing and gather around a TV and pray and hope to god this man was okay
Praise God Praise God Praise God!!! He Kept this young man!!!
Thanks to the women and men!!! You guys are hero's.
I was a healthy, active middle -aged woman who suffered cardiac arrest and flatlined. I was watching when you went down & thought it could never happen to me. But just weeks after your recovery I too went out and am lucky to be alive. I'd love to be a part of your organization to get AED machines in playing fields across the country. Please tell me how I can help. Best wishes for your recovery.
The way I just cried this cry when he fell into their armssss!!!! Seeing him collapse LIVE on the TV while watching the game is something I will never forget… watching everything happen that night after, football froze and so did the world! This is so beautiful to watch because that night is etched in so many minds thank God he is alive to tell his story!
True professionalism and humanity at its finest. What a special acknowledgment ❤ sending my love and gratitude to all of these beautiful humans ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
i was watching this live with my friends, it was absolutely terrifying. glad he’s okay, huge props to the bills training/medical staff
What an amazing speech from him
Loved this! And I am glad people stood up for him. There could have been the chance he wouldn't have been standing there with them all tonight.
i remember me and my class all praying together for damar while he was in the hospital. so thankful for the medical staff who helped him and am so so so thankful he is ok.❤
Amazing these people deserve every bit of it just amazing !
This clip shows the very best of humanity. Thank you for being a bright light in this world!!
Thank you for your service.
Really beautiful speech. So happy for the athletic staff to be recognized that way and for Hamlin to be there, alive & healthy, to witness this & be able to continue his dream career.
Thank you to the training staff of the Buffalo Bills. All of you deserve the award for saving Damar Hamlin’s life.
When you know its gonna be sad and click it anyways, Respect to everyone who reacted and saved damars life, and way to acknowledge the other teams staff that came to help also, true professionals
Amazing moment
this is humbleness at its finest. "just doing their job" is a statement that should resonate with every human being. and to acknowledge everyone that was involved in this ordeal that lead to this wonderful outcome shows even more how humble they are. and Damar's tears shows how eternally grateful he is to this amazing group of people for bringing him back to life.
So heartfelt 😢❤🙏🏽🙏🏽 Amazing job!! Remarkable service. You all went above and beyond the call of duty! ❤
Man I love the bills 🥹
Me too. - Go Damar - Go Bills
@@jerischopp6998 yes sir 🤌
Love for damar❤
He was born in San Jose, California. Went to Leland high school and then scholarship from ASU. This story hit home.
You can feel the emotion through a PHONE SCREEN. WOW!
Travis stood right up, Glad Damar's okay, and god bless the staff that was there for him
I love it glad you still with us Damar
There were so many heroes in this situation- from the training staff to his family to the hospital and ems personnel to Damar himself. And who knows how many other lives have/will be saved because it sparked so many to do CPR training and AED purchases.
UNITY! WE ARE ALL SO MUCH MORE ALIKE THAN WE ARE DIFFERENT! LOVE IS STRESS FREE! BE KIND!
This man died and was brought back to life. He is so grateful and as he should be. God Bless everyone!!!
"Thank you for staying alive brother"
