The Nissan dealership said that the CVT has low fluid pressure and can fail anytime. I am going to change the fluid and the filter and hopefully it will be ok. It has 117k miles on it
Hi, I found a 2014 Nissan Maxima for sale. It has 200k miles and the price is 2k. The only problems it has is both left and right solenoids need to be replaced. I wanted to know do you think it's worth it, is it a good price? I really like the body on it, the mpg, the body, features, etc. Please help I value your opinion.

Should look into changing the transmission fluid because I hear the whining.

This is the base model or entry level model. This isn't fully loaded (with paddle shifters, backup camera, Bose stereo system, etc)

No it will not change the gear because it will make you do it manually
Yes. If you put it on sport mode it shifts automatically, unless you manually put it in a gear then it won't shift up only down.
Does the maxima use Jatco transmission?
Yes, all Nissan CVT are Jatco
