I am 69 and I agree. Thank you for doing these. You tend to forget stuff as you get older. BTW it's called a ring terminal when you go to buy the connectors.
Great video I am going to do that to my cargo trailer. I want to put a battery somewhere, for a winch and some lights. Maybe you can do a video of the wiring inside the trailer and backup lights
Very good video. I watched 2 of your videos on trailer tires and then found this one. I needed to know where the reverse wire went. Thanks for your help to me and all the folks that watched. I also just Subscribed.
Thanks for the information. Not too common to use a junction box but very smart idea. I would opt for a good quality durable box... My rv came from the factory with a junction box used in residential wiring with twist on connectors. All the wires barley fit. It is protected in the 5th wheel hitch. Thanks again.
Just an idea, common wire problem or failures for trailers/rvs. Grounds are critical and corrosion prevention seem key. Quick fixes while on the road, for example driving lights stop working at night. Thanks again.
I like your videos, to the point and very helpful. I bought one of the prewired 7 way with junction box (same manufacture as in your link) The colors are not correct for my car trailer, so I will just have to make a "key" of the colors and how they will be connected so I have it for future use for troubleshooting. There seems to be many different color options, not much is standard lol.
So, you installed a junction box and hooked the trailer cord to the box with easy color coded studs......but never hooked the trailer wires to the box . That's the hard part, especially when the trailer wires aren't color coded or numbered . I hope you have another video on the wiring on a utility trailer . I assume you're talking about the commercial highway trailer 7 way plug, which I use both for my RV trailer and my platform utility trailer . I despise the RV industry for not using the commercial highway plug , of which much more utilized in industry . PS, I'm colorblind .
Yes. I explained in the video why the trailer wires are not run to the box. The video is to demonstrate how to wire a 7 way plug for RV application. The first video ever done on this channel was to wire a 7 way plug for utility trailer.
ImI’m 62 years old and have worked on trailers my whole life. Your videos are great! I wish everyone that works on trailers could see this!
Thanks for that vote of confidence and for the feedback! We appreciate you watching.

I used the advice you provided and got the plug (plug end) all wired up and ready to tie in to the trailer. Thanks again
Good deal! Glad to help! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for your quality of work, wish we had more people like you.

Just what I needed to install backup lights and trailer brake lights.
I've wired them before, but never used eyelets. Great idea! Thanks
Is there a pin difference on any 7 way connectors or should pin location always be the same just different color wires depending on application?

Hello, can I use the Pin 2 (Electric Brake) to light up a LED Stop Light in order to have saparated led light for brakes and turn L/R leds?
What about no junction box? How do I best attach and secure my wires to the cord?

" Cut towards your buddy, not your body". Grandpa taught me that.
That’s great advice! I should probably follow it more. 🤣
Really good video. Answered all of my questions. Thanks
Left channel sound for the win. 😊
