Thank you very much! For me it was a perfect use of that space and allowed everything to stay open in the room and out of the way (no speakers/subwoofers on the floor). So far it's all coming together nicely.
Brilliant stuff, my man. Followed you here from AVS. You really could do this for a living. Think about it - Endless Upgrades! Then you could always tell the wife; "But baaaabe, it's for my business! I haaave to upgrade!"
I agree 100%! In fact, just the other day I was thinking when I do get to upgrade the front cavity subs, these 2 PB-1000 PRO's would potentially just get moved to the rear wall of the room since they have the SVS Wireless cabability! Then not only would I be upgrading the front wall subs, but I'd also go from two to having four then 😁 Thanks for your comments
Nice work mate. Im doing a TH-cam cinema build as well and was just looking for some atmos speaker placement vids which is how i found you. Your set up looks nice and clean. Looking forward to seeing more 👍
Awesome! This is the video/channel that I found that helped me out the most. This is a video he did just on Atmos speaker placement: th-cam.com/video/BaVLWAZnag8/w-d-xo.html I highly recommend his entire channel though - check it out if you haven't already! I will look for your cinema build as well - and stay tuned for lots more coming up here soon!
Really cool basement. Are you gonna add any other cool stuff besides the theater? Also, looking forward to the av rack install if thats a vid that is coming
Thanks for the comments! There will be a wet bar going in just outside the theater space. I'd like to get a popcorn machine of some sort. Then there should be some space for something like, a pool table or other type of area, not really sure at this time. Just concentrating on getting everything finished first and go from there. And yes, there will most definetely be a av rack install video coming 👍
looking good. It's funny how much the ceiling speakers seem to be noticeable against the textured ceiling. I never would have considered that. I also find the sub placement odd. Both firing the same direction and not towards the audience? I know direction isn't as important with subs but I have always either pictured my subs either facing towards or away from the audience... never really considered the way you have them. Interesting.
I got the subwoofer idea from this video (and others): th-cam.com/video/iqpbWvExaKI/w-d-xo.html It works the best so I didn't have to make the cavity deeper for them to fit facing the room. I do have plans for a minidsp 2x4 HD to get the subs all dialed in for the best response I can get in my room. Thanks!
Good video... love seeing people's theatre builds... interested to see how your subs perform in the enclosure like that, are you going to angle them out to the room between the joists?
Thank you! As far as the subs go, I'm planning on running a minidsp 2x4 HD to get them dialed in as best I can. If they don't work in this direction, I'll try them facing each other, or facing away from each other. The research I did prior told me it doesn't really matter which direction they face, so it should all work out I'm hoping with a little bit of dialing in.
The black on the ceiling is Tricorn Black, and the walls and bottom of the soffits are Cyberspace. All from Sherwin Williams. More details in my video here: th-cam.com/video/NOtIMv4fE3o/w-d-xo.html
Nice setup. You have a very pleasant storytelling voice, by the way. Good speed, constant volume, neutral accent.
Thanks - I never thought of it that way before! 😁
Looking good. Your room is coming along, love the progress.
Thank you!
Awesome man. I loved what you did with the wall with the stairs. I’m now considering that myself. Fantastic man👍🏾

Thank you! Appreciate the thoughts - it would be a pretty fun job to do this for a living but not sure there is a market for it in my area.
@@TyEichele You're welcome. Ah, good point. Thanks for the vids.
Was waiting for the speakers nd they r amazinggg
Thank you! I'll be getting everything hooked up to the AVR and will be testing them out soon! Stay Tuned -
beautiful design, beautiful setup!
Thank you very much!
Very good job and can’t wait till you upgrade those subs. I’m sure those you have now will do fine, but that theater deserves some bad boys lol

How do you like the Versa On Wall speakers
I still really like them a lot. They worked for my installation perfectly and I have no complaints.
What color did you paint your room

Those are really affordable speakers.
Agreed! I hope they sound pretty decent as well 😁
