    wow man thank you for sharing all of this. upon first glance someone like myself - new to home theater - easily gets eliminated when seeing the level of your equipment. i will eventually go to the same type of setup 7.2.4. I remember seeing your earlier videos and your experience of sound processors over AV receivers so again I plan on going that route as well. what i think i liked most about this video was you showing the room - which presents its own hurdles for home theater - and how you overcame those with pretty simple and basic ideas. we hear it all the time - we have to work with the space we have - and this is an excellent video demonstrating that. thanks for showing that.

      I appreciate the kind words, brother. This will be a great video to provide inspiration. It shows my journey over the years showing how simple My Home Theater started out, and I still enjoyed it very much so

    I saw that cabinet and front end live several years ago. It is a one-of-a-kind hand crafted work that cannot be duplicated and is easily worth $100K. It is gorgeous in to see in-person and the workmanship is incredible.

    I went KRIX supporting my hometown there home cinema range is damn explosive weather built in or modular. The HVAC vent should be swapped out for diffused blade better seperation of hot and cool zone plus no sonic harmonization with their dampening against the ceiling. Still good passive exhaust on the back to convey warm air from amps etc up and out always a winner. Good stuff look forward to your new build. Stay safe.

    Plywood wrapped in fabric to block the windows. Thats exactly what I did. I had to block 4 really large windows in a sun/arizona room. On the left wall, there was more window than there was actual wall.

    Great tour Youthman. A lot of the elements in your theater over the years has inspired design choices in mine. One question, if you're not using Harmony anymore, then how are you controlling the room?
    Side note, you should definitely make some video updates as what ends up being left behind and what you're taking. Curious as to how all that unfolds with selling a home with a theater like this.

    Thanks for a clear and informative presentation. Just the way you explained what you did really helped me understand a few things. Your room is almost a copy of mine in size. I find the width is a limitation mostly for side surrounds as the speakers are much closer to the viewers on the sides.
    I love your screen size but I’m not sure if I would enjoy the wide viewing angle. Your row of seats is just about where mine is at 10’ and I figure your viewing angle is just about 60 degrees viewing scope movies which is a good bit higher than the recommended 45-50 degrees. I’m sure for 16:9 material it’s just about perfect. I might have to experiment a bit :).
    Thanks again. Awesome presentation!

    You know your system really well now with the end game speakers so it would be awesome to see your opinions on different power no scenarios like: running separate amps for LCR/surround/heights, plus upgrades like separate Starke, outlaw, tonewinner, buckeye, Emotiva amps etc!! 🎉

      Bigger and Better, what on earth are you talking about, speakers he has are too big as it is, he's not trying to fill a concert hall, rediculous, less is more

    • @Youthman
      @Youthman  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Actually, less is not more. Less quality components will give you less performance. Less low end bass extension will give you less tactile response. Less light output on a projector will prevent you from hitting HDR levels. I don’t feel my set up is too big for my room at all. I just have a lot of headroom which allows me to play it with very low distortion.
      Currently, I do not have any plans to make any major changes other than installing an AV rack in the new home

    The cabinet is such an amazing piece of craftsmanship. Taking it to the new home would be somewhat cost prohibitive and would limit design possibilities in the new theater. I am sure it will be tough to say goodbye to such an heirloom quality entertainment center but I think including it in the sale of the home is the right decision.

    good job on your home theater and good luck with your joint venture. I learned a long time ago that most important part of building a home theater or screening room is to account for access to all cables and components. always include a service access area for everything. I always used to say start small and build up your system over time. never mortgage the house on a technology that you dont fully understand yet. there are TH-camrs out there claiming that home theater died with streaming when in reality it's simply evolving and changing .

      Over the past 7 years, there have been items I was able to keep and others I purchased at accommodation pricing. That same pricing is available to all reviewers and varies in discount for each brand. But if I had to guess it’s probably the same as dealer cost which is the same benefit that every dealer gets because they generate sales for the company.
      Since June of 2020, my channel has generated over $850,000 in affiliate sales for Valencia alone.

      Way more than that, LCR were 3300x3, 2 subs about 4500 each, the atmos sides and rears were 1200x8. So speakers were 26-28k, depending on when he bought them, jvc nz800 is 15k, kaleidoscope $4-6k, madvr envy extreme 15k, screen 2 or 3k, avm 70 3-4k. Properly over 70K just equipment if you went out today and purchased.

    Amazing theater! Congratulations on all of your success (OHT, family and more.) Best wishes on next steps of your journey and your next HT. I’m looking to replace my 20 year old Anthem AVM-20 in my 5.1, family room based HT. My Anthem still works good, but I know so much processing technology has evolved in that time and it’s overdue for an upgrade. For 2025, would you recommend the AVM-70 or perhaps the Marantz AV-10 that you guys just installed in Helen a few weeks ago? I still love my 5.1 Linn & Revel speaker set up, which still sounds great for movies/music/TV but I’m ready to upgrade the pre/pro. As it’s for my family room (not a dedicated HT) so I’m not planning on adding more speakers to enable the Atmos ceiling channels and more.

      @Youthman  2 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      If you want something, that’s easy to set up and calibrate and just works every time, get the Marantz.
      If you’d like to tweak your system, have a lot of flexibility with calibration, quitting, virtual inputs, etc., as long as you’re OK with a few bugs along the way, the Anthem AVM70 is a solid choice

      This will be the first time we have sold a home, so I’m not sure. For the right price I’d absolutely leave it all behind. But I don’t think that’s going to happen. My plan currently is to take all of it except for maybe the screen because it basically is custom for that cabinet and would be beneficial for the homeowner if they plan on using it for a theater room.

      Combined total RMS of equipment, amps, etc. Then divide the total by 4. Don’t worry so much about the peak RMS. It’s rare to actually hit that. 1 single 20 amp circuit supports 2,400, but it’s best to only push 80% of it, which is 1920 watts.

Your AVM70 must have had a preexisting issue. I've had my AVM70 for 3yrs with 0 problems. I'm rather surprised you haven't upgraded to the 90. In a few years I'm thinking about getting one. By then the price will be much cheaper. Don't tell Matt you have an Alexa assistant! He dislikes them.😁 I have Alexa & Goggle Home and I love smart electronics. I bought a Synology 923+ Nas a few weeks ago and I'm using it with my PC as a Plex Server. Would love to have a Kaleidescape but the cost is Way to much for me. I have roughly 2,000 movies on my Plex. I also upgraded my Router yesterday to the Tp-Link BE900 WiFi 7. I'm happy with my budget Kaleidescape!😅 I also have an Oppo 203 Dvd player. I bought it New in 2016 and it still plays flawlessly. Eventually I'll get the Panasonic top of the line player. I know my Oppo's days are numbered.😪 I have a Harmony remote and when you find,at least,their equal I'll definitely buy it. Great Video! The Old Man!👨🏾‍🦲 Julius🙋🏿‍♂️

      The one thing I do not know is certain manufacturers measure their speaker sensitivity with voltage instead of watts, so I’m not sure how that converts but when talking about wattage that’s the formula. It takes double the amplification to gain 3 dB in volume.
      That’s why when you’re comparing to a VR and one is 100 W per channel and the other is 110 W channel. You will never hear the difference in that power that’s just marketing

      All three have quality offerings.
      However, JTR possess distinct advantages in both performance and price over the Grimani.
      Additionally, JTR's simplicity elevates their accessibility to even more enthusiasts, ... vis-à-vis the active modular Grimani.
      The JTR platforms will be more future proof than active DSP platforms like the Grimani.
