I'm in the process of building a home theater room myself, I actually will have similar dimensions to what you mentioned below, just lower ceilings... One thing I'm having a hard time figuring out is how much space do you recommend putting between front row of theater seating and back row theater seating... on chairs with the wall hugging power recline... ? Thanks for any insight
Hello, We try to do a minimum of 24” between rows. Overall though you want to recline the first and second seats to make sure there is no overlap of the back of first row into the footrest of the row behind.
@@theaterdesignco Thanks for quick reply (Thought responded last night, guess didn't go through), I unfortunately won't have my seats before decision time, but that helps with my math (I hope)
Can anyone give me an estimated cost for this project, or one like it? I'm looking to do my basement theater room, but I'm unsure of the cost. I'm sure they can be as expensive, or cheap as I want it to be, but this build looks very similar to what mine would look like in terms of size.
For a 7.2.4 setup up with a projector and screen its gona be around 7500 to 15,000 just for audio video depending on what gear you pick. As for building a riser and other stuff id say 1000 or less if your handy or 2000 to pay someone.
That is a huge upgrade
Yes it's a lot of work but it will be worth it. Huge like from me my friend!
It sure is! Thank you!!

Amazing.. but why not build the riser last? it is in the way for the entire time. I bet there is still some wallpaper behind it :)
Riser was needed to run wires and seat measurements. But yes would have been easier in hindsight!!!!
Excellent
Thank you
Beautiful !
What song did you use ??
Edit software had this. Cheers
is it that camera angle or is this space very small?
Looks like maybe 9 ft wide buy 15ft deep?
Cameras angle, however is a smaller room.
@@theaterdesignco What are the dimensions of the room?

This one may come in at 75K with build, gear, carpet and seating. Room is 14 foot by 20' with 10' ceilings. Cheers
@@theaterdesignco That is very close to my room dimensions. Thanks!
