Love this suit! My favorite modern Spidey suit from the comics. So stoked that it's in figure form besides the Pizza Spidey body or the Hot Toys. Definitely picking this up!
I always love the Kaiyodo figures because they are more active. I have to learn how they work to get the best poses, it really makes them unique to take photos of.

I’ve always liked Revoltech, even though some of their sculpts and silhouettes can be a bit wonky (I have their C-3PO & stormtroopers). I always appreciated their ambition with making their figures as posable as possible (unintentional tongue twister). Very cool to see how they’ve upped their engineering on this figure. I hope they do more Star Wars in the future.
The reason this suit looks like armor, is it because it based off the spider-armor IV. That armor has the backlit green spider logo and green tints to it. It is not meant to be the classic suit, but a spider-armor version.

This is such a massive improvement from the first version. The stylized proportions flow a lot better and it can strike a neutral standing pose as excellently as any other heavy dynamic poses. The first version now looks like a bootleg version with the very disjointed proportions
This one called to me too for some reason. I got a notification that my Mafex Ben Reiley had come in at Hobby Link Japan. I was about to ship it when I saw they also had this in stock. I figured I'd take advantage of the current yen to usd rate and ship them together. Ended up getting this for $68 compared to $109 from a US site.
I'm not into AY, since I like my figures to be more intuitive, but this figure looks niiiiiice! But I think part of that for me is just how it captures this suit. I love this look, the Worldwide suit is really underrated. Also, I've seen a few reviews now and it makes me chuckle how everyone calls it something different.
I like Revoltech more than most, but especially in these colors, it looks like Spider-Man is held together by balloons/stress balls. Still the best action poses in the business though!
Obvious improvement on the sculpt/articulation integration, but i prefer the overall proportions of V1! This one's head is a bit too small, torso and thighs a bit too big, but still looks wonderful posed up

Although I know that this appearance of Spider-Man is based on Mark 04 from the All New All Different stage, the fact that this figure has the joints designed in this way gives him more of an android appearance, in my opinion XD
Mine just arrived, yet it comes with QC issue. Both legs being left legs, what are the chance to get the flawed one... Anyone has experience regarding part replacement? Or I'm just stuck with this junk?
Just got mine from BBTS also with QC issues left leg socket had a mold issue so leg wont attach. The rep told me they were having numerous issues with the figure but I'm waiting to hear back the next steps on if they will replace.
@@MMunn Well, any QC issue is bad unless it is treatable to some degree. Hopefully yours could be fixed or even getting replaced, you might wanna try to email their inquiry. Unfortunately, mine will be collecting dust as an expensive trash.
Beware when buying this figure, finally received in my Pile of Loot from BBTS and found the left leg will not stay attached. After speaking with the rep over at BBTS about replacing (which he said will be delayed) he informed they are having multiple complaints of the joints not holding through simple movements on this figure. It appears to be an issue in the socket molds, for example the socket is shallow and too wide on my left leg but you can swap out with the right and it pops on fine. Really disappointing overall and I'm waiting to hear back on the timeline for replacement.
I'd say the only thing Mafex has that Kaiyodo doesn't, is the magnets on wall crawling hands. I'm ok with the sculpt breaking a little for that level of posing.
Both v2 (spidey and Mr pool) are top notch man!.. Maybe next year we will have venom (since it was the 003 from the line)...Without any question, my hopes are in an AY Daredevil. 😅

The joints are less obvious. Is it easier to se the balls, joints, and holes in person? It’s mostly invisible with this shiny Spider-Man. The thighs are still a bit too think for my Spider-Man, but otherwise, yum!
Between me loving ATSV and me finally reading some classic Spidey stuff I gave up on back in middle school due to digital comics kinda sucking, I've been bitten by the Spidey collecting bug (arachnid?) and god I'm tempted by this guy

I think that would show the joints more harsh, with this or the traditional design it's a bit hidden in the webs and colors. Saying that......yeah, I'd buy a symbiote, love some black and white.
I love amazing yamaguchi and I already miss the comic book splosion packaging. I really like how theyve developed the sculpting with Deadpool 2.0 and continued here. But, i think Mafex is still my definitive spidey. Im still hoping for a Cable reissue

They should have made the shoulder joints more similar in color to the costume. They look orange compared to the metallic red.

Posting from the future to say that you were surprisingly close. It's Agent Venom rather than Brock, but it's a version of Venom all the same.
