One thing thing that excites me about Kaiyodo is that they didn’t just repaint any of their Spider-man figures into a black suit version, which makes me think they plan to make a wholly separate figure for the guy. There’s an amount of artistic integrity to that, because there’s a lot of interesting things you can do with a unique black suit design. Agent Venom from them looks stunning. The aesthetic is right up my alley.
With figures like these, where all of the details are sculpted into the plastic instead of only painted on, you can't simply repaint them anyway since the comic black suit has no web pattern like the red and blue suit does. If they ever do a black suit version that would be awesome.
And boy did they cooked with Agent Venom 🤩. The only problem was the qc issues that most people have with the figure. Unfortunately I’m also in most people.

I don't have a problem with Spider-Man, a character who's doing crazy gymnastics and ninja moves all the time, having incredibly muscular thicc thighs considering the legs contribute to his huge jumps or running across walls.

He was slender for like only a couple of issues, then after that Ditko drew him jacked, and Romita, etc etc etc. The only times he’s been drawn to be leaner/skinnier when he’s a teen is in Ultimate Spider-Man but even then he’s diced and has crazy muscles.

17:06 Revoltech joints do come apart sometimes if overused or rough play. You could use the super glue water technique. I used if for my yamaguchi carnage and it worked.
@@eni170 not the whole peg where it connects to the socket. There’s like a small hook or smth that helps the leg keep it in place. And when it’s broken, it cause the leg to be loose and not stay on well
"You might as well get a statue" is what I think of every time an action figure sacrifices articulation for sculpt, and everyone who's built a model kit or handled figures with interchangeable small parts is familiar with the dreaded Carpet Dimension. The loose knee can be mitigated by wrapping the ball joint in a little bit of grocery store bag, thickening it with acrylic paint (will wear off and need to be re-applied) or a coat of super glue (wait for it to dry before putting it back in, might need sanding if it's too thick).
That was the case for Ps4 spiderman The Sculpt was great for everything and then they botched up The arm movement with limited articulation and a loose azz arm
You do understand that in addition to incredible mobility, Yamoguchi also have a ton of cool accessories and cool designs, too? These figures are beautiful in triplets!
I’m a person that really puts articulation over sculpt and looks of a figure to a certain level and I’d love to get an amazing yamaguchi *action* figure. However… I do obviously appreciate a figure that can do both in a great way and having in mind I prioritise articulation I got to admit that in my opinion having in mind the back of the leg gaps and the accessories the sentinel Peter B. Parker spider man is the best spider man action figure made to date.
The Spider Armor MK 4 in Revoltech Yamaguchi line look incredibly amazing. I have a good feeling that Revoltech will do more Spiderman variants since they already did made about 6 Spiderman figures such as. 1. Sam Raimi Spiderman 2. Spiderman 3. Spider Gwen 4. Iron Spider 5. Sinister Iron Spider 6. Spider Armor MK 4.
I have the exact same opinion on figures as you. The most important thing, what defines an action figure - is the articulation. The looks and accessories are also important, but the main thing, that differentiates an action figure from a statue is the fact that you can move it around how you please

What I love with action figures is you can make them in any pose you want (depending on numbers of articulation) but with statues is you can't do that (obviously)
Revoltech Spiderman 2.0 have the best articulation and design, but my main problem with the figure is the leg keeps popping out from the knee when bending it
You can fix the leg issue by adding some super glue and twisting it till it dries. Its an extremely common issue and this method 100% solves it. Mine hasn’t fallen once since i did it

Yeah, revoltech can be a lil weird when it comes to legs or parts falling off. My Deku’s left leg always pops off, and the figure’s waist overall is very loose. It can be very frustrating. Brilliant pieces of engineering tho
I’ve been diving down the Transformers masterpiece rabbit hole so I haven’t been collecting marvel figures but this guy makes me remember the love I have for spider-man figures. He’ll look great next to my figurarts venom

I've always looked at it like a triangle. Accuracy / Articulation / Cost. You pick 2 and the 3rd goes out the window. You want it to be super posable, and not cost a lot, then it won't look real bc of all the joints. Want it to look real and pose? Then the price will skyrocket. Want accuracy and cheap, then very little articulation, (like certain 1/6 scales) get a statue, but even those can be pricey.
I absolutely love this figure and the really cool thing is that if you get the web wings into the right spot it looks like their physically attached to him 🤩🤩🤩

Well, i believe that there are 2 more articulated figures who demolishes this figure in terms of articulation, the Magic square light of peace (an optimus prime third party figure) and the Mastermind creations optus pexus, (also a third party optimus prime figure) those 2 figures demolishes this guy, NOT only they have super articulation at the Same Range, but they have individual fingers with 3 joints to bend and they can move the fingers to the side, also they can extend their torso to extend the Range, they have more than 90° spread, they have 120° spread, SO i think those 2 win in terms of articulation
I like this figure not only because it's an improvement but because it almost looks like a Spider-Man from an anime and I just can't imagine what a Spider-Man anime would look like. I know we got to see a anime Spider-Man in Marvel's disk wars and future Avengers but I wanna see a Spider-Man anime as it would be the greatest thing to happen to spidey fans

A tip to all those who own this figure:, if u find the ball joints on the shoulder to be distracting, Simply swap the upper parts of the Both arms with the other,and after swapping the arms,swivel the shoulder so backwards.it does not hinder articulation and also makes it look 10 times better.😊
With how my shelf is set up, I only had the room for 1 Spidey, so I wanted to be sure to get "the" Spider-Man figure. For a while I was just about set on getting the MAFEX comic paint ver., until this one got announced and bought it the minute it was in stock on BBTS. (I dont really do Pre-orders)
I had the same problem on mine but with both knees and it was driving me nuts. Had to dremel out the blue joint and replace it with a polycap from a gundam model kit.

What they did repaint was woody to make the white and black version, no other change was made from what i know
