Little heads up be sure to feed your budgie fruits and veggies .. my friends and I both got our budgies about 2 years ago and his passed away recently.. I believe its cause the bird was on a seed only diet.. I share bananas with mine with strawberry pineapple blueberries and carrots spinach lettuce etc .. not every day but every other day. I'm not saying seeds are bad but the extras is more or less just a snack in between for a boost of nutrients! Enjoy your little one 🦜😁🙌
Iris probably died because you weren't giving him proper food. Budgies cant eat just seeds. They need vegetables and pellets. Seeds are only for treats. The cage also needs to be wide, not long. What I do is I give them a chopped vegetable and pellet mix. Stuff like carrots, broccoli, lettuce, etc. I reccomend Harrison's pellets. Birds also like to tear things apart and forage. Paper is good and foraging toys.

Yeah biggest tip is put him in his cage and let him be for a week you can sit by the cage but just let him get use to his new home! ♥️
