For the Chinese Finger Trap toy and the foraging toy, if you think he is having trouble playing with it a great idea is to stuff his favourite treat in it (like millet) and this will not only encourage foraging but also he will feel rewarded for his behaviour too... LOVE YOUR VIDS!!
We have had our 4 month old budgie for 2 weeks and he is never that interactive and happy/chirpy. He barely tolerates us lol. He’s also not motivated by treats or foods and just today started playing with toys in his cage. Still super uninterested in us. Borderline fearful. He will step up but doesn’t like getting pet yet
I put a perch in the shower and have it far enough away so when I'm showering he will just get sprinkles of water on him. Davy loves that! And he gets his bath in hahah

He might try to fly back but that's normal if your super slow he might just sit there . If he doesn't want to go on your finger it's ok don't force him! Watch my videos on what I have done with Davy!
I just got two budgies 3 days ago and I tried sitting next to them they don’t mind, but when I put my hand in they go towards the back of the cage.. should I just keep trying or just keep sitting next to the cage for awhile
Sit next to the cage as much as possible for a day then the next day fo the same but put your hand there until they get comfortable which might take a couple days

I just watched the video from may 2019 when she first got a Budgie. And compared to back then, she is completely comfortable with them.

You need to watch my video on how I got Davy into millet ! He didn't like it either and would not interact with me ! That was a lift changer!
