That's what I'm doing on my current playthrough. The EXP here is phenominal with a save point right there. Easy restore and grind. It helps get Yuna caught up for the segments she missed out too.

It's funny that Seymour is immune to almost everything except bio. He has to power to reflect, dispel and banish but doesn't even bother to remove bio. He just let it sit there then dies. This is every boss battle he's in
I came up with this really stupid strategy for the fight and it somehow worked. Here's what I did: I started off using Bahamut's Overdrive, then I would let all of my aeons do as much damage as possible until Seymour used Banish. Then I used Rikku to give everyone on the field Reflect so Seymour himself couldn't do anything and I'd also have her use Dispel to get rid of Seymour's Protect. That way, his multi attacks, Break, and Flare would bounce back at him and help me out in the process. After that, I'd just go crazy on him. It was such a stupid plan, I'm amazed it worked.
@@watertommyz I did grind Rikku a lot so she did have Dispel. I loaded up my save file just now to check and it turns out that my Rikku did have Reflect. I did a huge amount of grinding at one point because I was having a lot of trouble with the Evrae and I came up with a strategy that required Reflect and Dispel. I can understand why you thought I had the two confused, though.
One of my favorite sections of the game. I stay near the first save point for quite sometime just to gain sphere levels and Gil. The convenience of staying near there is O'aka is right across from it and I can sell unnecessary items. I'll have close to a Million Gil by time I am done and the music keeps me going to level up my main team: Yuna, Auron, and Tidus.
You should level all characters equally, as xp gains don't diminish if there are more participants. I used to be a YAT purist too but now I even level lulu, when yuna is a far more op black mage.
1st playing this and realizing this was awesome, by the time I got to Zanarkand I was sooo overpowered it was even a challenge anymore. I could be so calm in all my battles😁
i used him on that fight because i messed up his sphere and made him more powerful with magic than lulu and spammed double cast flare and had tidus use provoke while yuna used shell and protect on him while healing everyone
Wait, you can replace him? I can’t even ATTEMPT to do that without Seymour killing him immediately, causing me to constantly revive him, just for Seymour to rinse and repeat. Definitely the most annoying boss I’ve had to fight yet on this game.

In my most recent run, Kimahri was quite good. I used expert grid, dipping into Wakka’s, then connecting to Auron’s, and finally into Tidus’s just in time for Hastega. He was fast, strong, and had several nice utility options in Haste/Slow/Delay. I used him a lot until lategame.
This battle gave us clue how Seymour was gradually getting powerful until he got to the point of his peak at the Mt. Gagazet. He absorbed the souls of his guards and Kinoc to get the Natus form and perhaps, absorbed the souls of the Ronsos that he killed in Mt. Gagazet to acquire his Flux form. His power declined after his encounter with Yuna and her guardians at the Mt. Gagazet. Nevertheless, he retained a somewhat powerful Omnis form when he entered Sin.
You could say that in terms of just raw power, Omnis is where he peaks. But it comes at the cost of predictability, which became a glaring weakness. Meanwhile Natus and Flux both had more variety in their moveset, and had some genuinely dangerous combination attacks with mortibody and mortiorchis.
I was slightly weak for this part. I just summoned 3 Aeons, used their overdrive. After a bit of grinding of course. I had him down to about 8,000 HP and died the first time around.
Interestingly enough this area can be the best if you spend days here you'll never have to grind again. Yuna Hastaga, Auron Dark Attack, Quick Hit. I spent days here and the rest of the way was a breeze.
Bio and Reflect were my saviors in this fight. Having Reflect on everyone in your party bounces the spells back at him, and casting Bio on him makes him poison himself every time he casts the spells. Double the damage. 🙌
All I did was use Tidus's provoke, and Yuna's reflect on Tidus. Simple yet very effective. I then finished him off with Bahumut's overdrive...I may have also accidentally given him the effects of Hastega.
@@sephservant lets be honest no one uses him outside the ronso boss fight. He's a sideline character that really doesn't do anything unique that others can do. He's basically a tier 2 auron/tidus hybrid.
@@lazava5150 idk I put him in Rikkus and lulus grid and their abilities on him make him op af. His magic stats become superior to lulus and then the health boost from rikkus grid plus her use ability is really good.
The same people that say the mainline content in the game is too easy are the same people that grind here for hours and then wonder why they will blitz through the rest of the story. It's why I only level from random encounters while progressing the story. Makes the mainline stuff still interesting and then save all the power leveling jacked characters stuff for when I'm at the end
Never used Bio... I always preferred to cast Reflex on all the party. Since Seymour and that skeleton-thing use magics, that translates for them in suicide.
I tried to use nul-blaze, nul-shock... And all nuls so when they would attack me I would be immune... At this point I had so many fire gems with Rikku so this would be the most effective technique for me!

There needs to be an area to grind in before each boss in case you're under-leveled. They usually achieve this seamlessly, but this one is obviously desperately forced in.
It actually is forced in. In the original game there was no grinding area. So if you were under leveled before this boss fight in the original you were fucked. So they fixed it in the remaster.

This was a cool fight. Too bad they decided to use the standard boss music instead of giving Seymour a cool track like in the other times you have to kick his ass.
SOS Haste on my low HP status that had slayer as the overdrive mode. For some reason, human kills give double overdrive charge. Tidus could clean most 3 mook groups before they got a turn in. xD
Fun fact: the reason for the double overdrive on humans is because the gun counts as a second enemy (for some reason) and so you get double the amount of overdrive.

Omnis is where he peaked actually, by that point he was tapping into Sin's power, the boss fight was just poorly designed
Within Sin there were many more souls to take than previous times
Seymour reminded me of Frieza, he always had epic transformations and his forms looked awesome!!
Easiest way to win this fight is not even Bio. Cast Reflex on the whole party and you're done.

This was one of the few times Yuna drops the “Sir” when referring to Auron.
The 6hr grind in this place helped me defeat seymour in 2 mins.

I had 6 Black Magic Spheres at this point. Lulu had All the lvl 3 basic spells so I used 4 for Yuna to learn Firaga,Blizzaga, etc
Yuna is a fucking viscous black mage. She made lulu completely redundant and hit over 2x her max by the same level.
I also grinding badly before reaching bevelle...as a results,this fight last no longer than 90 seconds

Yeah the high ridge before you fight Seymour again is the perfect place to grind. I always do it and it pays off.
