I put a 3k precision vigilante convertor in my 08 z71 that we put a cam in and I’ve pulled my 16ft tandem trailer with my zd331 and my can am with it and it’s done flawless. I’ve often wondered how a turbo would do on the truck and this confirms it for me
I certainly think it would be a good move as it would really increase the torque to help with the towing. I would keep the stock cam, ls6 springs, next gen 7875 w/ a 1.25 ar, 4" exhaust, stock torque converter, intercooler, 450lph pump, and min 80# injectors. As to what it would cost? It really depends on your abilities, if you can do all the fab work and tuning.
Yeah but how fast does it suck down that 25 gallon tank? I think this is where it doesn't make it worth it diesels have way more pulling power and use a lot less gas doing it. Daily driving and pulling camper trailers sure but when you need to pull some s*** get a diesel
Thanks yeah it's a badass truck though I have a 2500 HD 2001 with a fresh 6.0 in it built a little bit but been thinking about doing a cam and very tempted to go this route .

Did it improve fuel efficiency
Sounds pretty good
Nice, looks like it starts getting into boost around 2700 or so with that big boy.
heck ya! ive been waiting for this one!
Sounds good, must do 10 foot to the gallon. Nah it probably ain’t bad just cruising.
Keep your foot in it and get single digits lol.
Just filled up, and got 10.5 mpg on that tow.
What all did you do to make those hp numbers? I have a stock 6.0 and I want to make around 500hp or so. So much you can do with these trucks.
There's a few videos on this setup. It's a turbo 6.0L.
Do you have to run 93oct or can you tune for 87 and still tow? Debating turboing my 06 2500 or selling for a diesel
You can tune it for 87.
Nvm I I missed that you mentioned it
Can you make a video and show which Holley Hydra Matt you use. And how you attach it to the stock bucket with upgraded fuel please

Thank you so much.
What are the IATs while towing?
What yiu think of the eBay hit side kit.
It’s going on my Yukon cheap build like 6 pounds s366 turbo
If it uses the log style manifold, it shouldn't be too bad.
It the 38mm waste gaite that comes in the cross over ok to use on the low boost set up I’m going with
I run a 44mm.
So they make 38m to 44mm adapters that should be okay right
@@zacharymelvin3487there’s a bolt on or vband design, there’s no “adapters” …..
What afr are you at on cruising boost?
Cruise afr is around 14.7, in boost it’s around 11.5. This is on pump 93.
Whats the build?

I was thinking of putting a turbo on a 6.0L to haul my 8,500 TT in the Colorado Rockies. How much do you think that would cost and is it a good move?

@@MPKPerformance Why do you recommend 1.25 AR over something closer to 1.0? Won't the 1.0 spool up faster and give you more midrange response?
@@oceanwaves83 because the smaller ar chokes out a 6.0 fast.
where you putting 2 pole ?
It's actually a Hunter alignment rack. It was pretty heavy.
What stall sir
2200

And what diesel tail pipe are you using off what model of truck?
I think the one on Clifford is off of a Ford diesel lol.
