    Just found your channel and LOVE all the videos on these trucks. This is my favorite generation of trucks 99 (new body) to 07 (classic). I've had four of them now and trying to find #5 currently. These trucks are insanely reliable and were kind of the last generation that pretty much anything could be fixed in a driveway. My 2004 2500 still runs every day strong as ever.

    Running cold is not an issue. As long as the truck isn't trying to over fuel to heat the engine up, which can be adjusted in the tune. It should be safer at 160/165, than at 180/185. If the tune isn't set up for the colder thermostat then yes it would get worse mpg at that colder temp, but if it's adjusted it should be the same or better.

    Do you have any suggestions on added fuel capacity? That cross member blocks the front of the OEM tank

      @@MPKPerformance I may try to fab something up , how many miles are on your turbo 6.0 trucks and how long have you had them boosted? My truck has 160k right now so just curious

    Have you hand calculated the milage running empty with this turbo yet?

    • @MPKPerformance
      @MPKPerformance  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So, on the drive to the dyno (around 60 miles away), dyno all day, drive back home on the new tune, around town errands...it got 11 mpg. Prior to that...it got 9...I'm hoping now it'll get 13 mpg empty. I will let everyone know once I recalculate.

      @@MPKPerformance that'd be acceptable considering the price difference from gas to diesel 👍🤙

      I run on pump 93 as E85 isn't local to me. It's a fsp t6 log and I built everything else. I'm currently going down to a t4 and swapping cams.

    You were fighting back pressure sometimes it’s better to deal with turbo lag and have everything else happy many times I tell people get a turbo you can grow with
