Hey dude, Love the truck I got the same project happening but cannot remember which wire is switched 12v from the firewall under the hood. Do you know or what wire did you use?
I have the same mounts but um havong an issue gettimg my driveline angke under 6 degrees negative. I have a th350 and im thinking my bell housing is touching the tunnel. How far do you have the slider brackets adjusted? Mine are all the way forward putting the block as close to the firewall as it can go on the adjustment. 87 s10 2wd 5.3
i hate ls motors but i have a plan though could really really make for a fun one while being good on gas. i have a square body s10 blazer with a vortec 5.7l 350 and some mods. the blazer has some mods and i tell you its a hoot on the street. its my daily driver. i dont like all these racecar builds. factory turn key for me get in it and go. it takes no time really and its faster than rewiring and rebuilding everything so to each their own. people call my car butter. first ride in it ill just drive it lightly no noise no crazy just effortless. theyll comment on how let down they were i didnt just floor it but how happy they are i didnt because they love it before they know it. then i floor it and they cant believe the difference. all polite and mild mannered and refined. they just nasty raw stump pulling torque right off idle. just like we drove up to highway speeds before. they realize the power is there right off rip not 3500 rpms and up. 1500 rpms and ive had all the torque i can muster. the fact that modern muscle cars dont want to play with me should peak volumes for any of you thinking about talking smack. ive been offered over 10-12 grand for my blazer without knowing the details knowing them the price would have been higher but they knew i wont sell. and theyve seen it daily for years so they know its worth more than every penny they could offer including trades plus the 10+ cash. literal i know i cant get my car going but ill buy yours give you mine and buy that when your done too. like bro. 30 grand for a blazer sheesh. git gud. just pay me to do ur car and well all be happy. guy was so happy i even offered that he left im like uhh get the number. but he was finally inspired and went home and actually got his shit going and was so happy. offered me money. like wtf is wrong with people these days. i didnt take it why would i he did the work and had the fun nobody paid me to build my car. i was just glad to see dude finally had his car too. he was really persistent but i finally told him fine if ur so happy and want me to have it so bad race me bro. winner takes all. and i just barely just barely let him win. yeah i gave it a hit on launch to scare him and get his heart pumping but i gave it like 1/4 throttle after that and just hung with him. let him get almost a car before i reeled him in a bit before the let off at the end. he knew i let him win deep down but he wasnt sure and i played it cool. told him i had to get home to get to work and im not trying to blow the thing up its my daily after all 42k miles now on this build. told him hes that adamant on giving me this money catch me on the streets again and maybe ill have some more mods by then and ill beat him if im lucky. he jumped at the bit and told me good luck cause he already has some ideas for what hes doing next. will i ever take the mans money. you bet your sweet bippy. when i need it to actually beat his hoe ass. until then my legend continues to grow apparently as people really love this blazer.
@@DeRosaDriven nobody believes me about this thing but i have nothing to prove and nothing to gain and people still deny it because nobody online has anything. some of us out here just trying to keep the culture alive. im not socially built to deal with people so it stresses me tf out when people approach me about the blazer. i know its why they are there they seen it out there snatchin checks and breaking necks. but like im looking at the door of where im going or the door back to my car. but they stop me and ask me ill tell em anything they wanna know about it or show them give me a ride. i have been paid for rides before. flagged down and stalked out and begged. i never wanted their money hop in hang on. when i was a kid i asked for a ride in your nice car mister. never got the rides and i hated them for it. seriously why have the coolest thing and the only one all customed up. show everyone how great it is and you wont drive the damn thing or let someone else enjoy it. so i built my own and i let people enjoy it. go to car shows and parents tell their kids dont touch the car its a nice ass car. hand over the mouth and tell them dont listen to them its my car and you can touch it. you cant hurt this thing. there is nothing youd do to it that i havent done worse already. the joy in their face bro. defy the parents mid sentence. they cant argue with me. the kids doing flips and they got to touch a cool car. big whoop. its for the kids man. as they watch me kick the bumper and the parents are in tears at this point. you cant hurt those old chrome bumpers. i have a slight kink in mine from the last owner and i tried to straighten it with a sledge. i dropped that mf so fast i bought a new sledge after that. didnt try this on on bumper because no. if your interested i do have a small build folder from this thing if youd like to page through. every single thing is me. pull motor pull donor motor rebuild motor stick motor fab work wiring fuel shitty exhaust till i got real pipes. i did what needed be done. i have diff wheels on it those were junkers diff suspension too. but im 42k miles in to this drivetrain. i have over 100k miles logged in this car. i picked every nit. and i have a daily destroyer.
Your truck sounds like it is loading up with to much fuel ⛽️ maybe you can dyno your truck. It does sound nice a idel but when goes under load it sounds like to much fuel ⛽️

Sounds to me like you have a dead hole or low compression or maybe you need hotter plugs to keep them from fouling

I believe mine are all the way forward, I did have to massage the lip on the fire wall for clearance

Is that the stock steering shaft? How's the clearance
Yes I used the stock steering shaft, I had the headman short headers and everything fit

Your truck sounds like it is loading up with to much fuel ⛽️ maybe you can dyno your truck. It does sound nice a idel but when goes under load it sounds like to much fuel ⛽️

What kit dude you use to mount the th400 to the 4.8
I believe I went with a speed way kit, came with the correct flex plate and converter spacer.
