Instead of running new wires you could just jump the wires from the input side of the amp plug to outside of the amp plug bypassing the amp, you made a lot more work for yourself man.
@@jeremyclark9705 wouldnt recommend but yes it does work. but it’s like plugging an extension cord into itself but there’s a power wire that powers the extension (so it’s always on aka dead battery in the mornings) IF IM NOT WRONG

One thing though. The higher wattage of the new amps your putting in and the increase in amperage, the factory gauge wires aren't big enough. So it's better to run new wiring and not power and speaker wires together throughout the entire run.
I’m wondering can you just just take out the factory amp and tap right into wire harness with a 4 channel amp. I’m trying to get a louder clearer sound in my Denali. I guess I could still run it the way jp did just would have to run the power wire to the battery but I’m wondering if I could use the power wire that’s powering the factory amp and would the gauge be efficient enough
Great video, bro. 1 question: Can I just cut all wires from connector side of harness ( factory amp side of harness ) , then tie my new speaker lead-wires into that connector harness, from the NEW amplifier, and reconnect connector side of harness back into factory harness? That should get power to all speakers if done correctly, then I can run power and ground, may not even need remote wire to radio bc factory harness has remote which I have connected behind aftermarket headunit already. I already installed a Interface kit to retain steering wheel controls- which is working great, but factory amp keeps cutting off, so this is my plan to bypass.
If I were wanting to run this to an aftermarket amp where would I plug my rcas in if I’m keeping the stock head unit I know I need a loc but would I tap in to the input channels then coming into the factory amp?

In my mind's eye, I use your procedure on the amp output side, and wire directly to the new 4 channel amp (make still undetermined), input, then connect the speakers to the amp output. Would you do it this way? Or should I take only the audio signal coming from the head unit and wire (bypass) to the new amp? I feel like I should use some kind of digital level control mid-stream, before the new amp input. If you help me through this, I will put your banner on my car! Hi, i like this video, but same amp i have can you help me to power it up, i want to use this bose amp in my home, this amp -12v is black but +12volt is missing, so. If you help me to start it up.thanks
There's a great tool out there to test the speaker wires to see which speaking is on the other end (popping it) AND determine polarity. And you probably already have one at home! No need to spend more money. It's called a 9V Battery. Ever-Ready and Duracell make some nice ones. All you do is use a couple of small electronics jumper cables, or even the bare end of the wires if you don't mind dealing with shorter wires, and place the battery across the wires. That's it! You'll hear the speaker pop, and you'll also be able to see which direction the cone moves to verify polarity. Just make a note of which wire is hooked up to the + on the battery.
Yep..That's what I was gonna comment...One thing you forgot for the novice stereophiles...If the cone moves outward first..the polarity is right...sucks in..backwards...
Yo i got a question. So i cut the speaker wires from the bose amp and connected it straight to my new amp and it works. Is that wrong? Was i supposed to use 9 wire to connect it back to the headunit? Also how did you wire the headunit up cause mine is jacked up.

Or can I tap the LOC into the rear speaker wires/signal. I want to get it right the first time. The Bose system is in it and the amp is a 4 harness (black, brown, grey, green). Thanks.
You can tap the rear speakers as long as it’s not crossed over after the factory amp. If it’s crossed over you will need to find a full signal to power the sub amp signal.
Dude can you offer me some advice please? I have a 2005 G6 and it has Monsoon. The only harness I can find says will not work with monsoon(idk if this means the stereo wont work at all or they are just referring to my DIC and chimes). Crutchfield says I need to buy this PAC interface but I dont want that shit, I dont care about my DIC or door chimes. Then I read I can use the harness if I bypass the amp. I dont understand why though. Can I just hardwire the speaker wires and not even connect the amp wire behind the radio? I saw a guy do this but he cut the amp wire and connected it to the remote amp wire from the aftermarket harness. I am so fkn confused man!! I would just keep stock radio but the damn this plays very low volume on FM radio only and no one can help me with that either. I happen to have an old sony xplod I thought I could just swap out until hearing all this crap about monsoon systems.
good question so if the harness says that it wont work with your vehicle if it has the monsoon system then it probably means that it is not going to integrate the factory amp. so the radio may come on but you wont hear any sound from speakers. PAC interface harness are always a better choice because it will do all the hardwork for you but it will be a more exspensive harness. the reason you can use the cheaper harness and if you bypass the amp is because the cheaper harness will only power the radio not provide sound so you will have to bypass the amp and run speaker wire to the back of the radio for sound. youll save money but is more work.
@@jptheinstallguy Ah ok this makes sense thanks! Yea normal harness + the case is like 25 bucks. That damn pac interface will run me at least 90 with a case! So I can follow this or any video to bypass my amp or is monsoon amp bypass different? Will The volume be much lower because I am not using my amp? Or do you know if the Sony xplod radio has some internal amp that will make it just as loud? Other than volume will it sound better or worse if I do this? sorry for so many noob questions haha

Tap in acc wire (Orange) or better off get after market radio.
Quick question my bose amp went out are you telling me i can do this and everything will be back to normal without them amp?
This was bypassing the amp to an aftermarket radio so in that case yes but if your amp has gone out with the factory radio still in than your better off replacing the bose amp.
i want to fix the amp in toyata car. how could be. need wiring diagram.
Can this be done to a Lexus is250 2014?
I'm trying to install aftermarket amp in a 2007 m35x can I tap into the factory amps input and output..so only wires I would have to run are power and ground ? My aftermarket amp has high level inputs
Can i just run a line out converter
Can not find 2008 audi a6 bose
I am going crazy with my 2005 jeep liberty, I’m trying to put in a head unit and no audio, so I was trying to bypass my amps as well.
Nice cable management
Excellent video, you explained everything clear. My saying I always use for speaker wires is Green and white ain't right. Thanks bro!
Would it be possible to... Say you swap out the premium bose amp to a luxury bose amp? I have a aftermarket Kenwood head unit already in there. Would it work.. I have a 2008 chevy silverado LT..I got the Luxury amp out of a 2011 denali
uuummmm i dont think so it would have to have the same connectors so probably just the same bose amp for that car will work, but might just want to ask the dealer
have you figured out how to get the dome lights back? My 08 Altima coupe are wired through the bose amp
Don’t buy Nissan
What with speakers impedance and new radio unit ? Bose at most produce 1-2 Ohm speakers and every aftermarket radio has 4 Ohm for channel.
cant i just run speaker wires to the amp and Rca cables to to the amp and aftermarket head unit?
if you have an aftermarket head unit than yes just run rca to the radio and run your speaker wires to the 4 channel amp
They should have made those matching male to female clips to start with
Quick question, if the factory amplifier on a Chevy trailblazer goes out will the front speakers still work ?
if the amp goes out then nothing should play
@jptheinstallguy so i have an 2014 infiniti q50 and want to add 2 amps 1 for sub and 1 for new speakers and also add a dsp with new speaker wires. So what i would want to do then is at the factory amp the input wires that go from the factory radio to the factory sending signal. I would tap into those wire and connect to the dsp then connect rca's from the dsp to the aftermarket amp's then connect the speaker wires from the amps to the speakers and sub CORRECT or no.
Hello so you don't plug the amplifier connector back? Just leave them unplug?
Sorry for late response it yes the only time I'll plug it back in is if there is a factory sub 😉 that way I can amp the door speakers and keep the sub playing as well
@@jptheinstallguy thanks man you really help lots of people
@@georgecampos7119 I appreciate that 🙏 💯
Where did you get the wire diagram from?
he just named 20 websites geez
Hi, i have a Mazda 3 2006, i change the stereo Bose for a new one Jensen, I conected with a harness metra all the wires but I found a little problem, the Jensen turn on but I don’t have sound, I want use this stereo for my aftermarket amplifier and the speakers that the car already has (I will change later ), I hope u can help me, thanks
Mine turned on at first but no sound until I found a better ground then the sound came through
Where did you get your testing speaker tool at
how would i run aftermarket amp to a stock radio that has stock amp
this is the way. bypass that factory amp and use the speaker wires from the amp side as signal for your LOC or processor and use the speaker side wires to run to your 4ch
@@jptheinstallguy I put a Bose in dash from a 2007 Tahoe into a 2008 Tahoe non Bose system everything plays but the sound is real low what do I do
@@pirruripirruri4731 Go to the Diyma forum and ask them... I think that Bose headunit might be processing the signal before it gets to the amp/speakers... Bose shit sucks though... I definitely wouldn't put a Bose headunit into a non-Bose system... They sell double din stereos on Amazon for as little as $40... I'd buy one of those cheap ass units before I forced myself into dealing with a Bose that's going to fuck up the signals and give you sound problems.
Would i bypass the amp if i replace some of the speakers and cant find a wire harness, and also if i bypass can i retain the auto volume, bass boost treble boost and all of that, like will i lose some features i had with the ffactory system?
How do I find the anc microphone they interfere with the subs ?
Do I have to drop the headliner and cut the mirophones?
So are you only connecting the output wires to the 9 wire?
Hi Sir, can you help me, i want to startup this amplifie, amp model is 28061 4ga2a, i want to play it at home. I have 12volt, 32ampire adapter, speakers, subwoofer. Plz plz. Help me about wiring.
Okay so I found my factory amp on my car also found the speakers wire on the amp , now I run that to my aftermarket radio , so now where do I get the power from ?
So all I need is to connect from the amp is the speaker wires and that it ?
Yep..That's what I was gonna comment...One thing you forgot for the novice stereophiles...If the cone moves outward first..the polarity is right...sucks in..backwards...
i think he already mentioned that at the end of his explanation, 👌 👏
Would it be possible to do this with a dynaudio set up in a volkswagon eos?
Is the Altima you working on the same as the 2005 350z
Yo i got a question. So i cut the speaker wires from the bose amp and connected it straight to my new amp and it works. Is that wrong? Was i supposed to use 9 wire to connect it back to the headunit? Also how did you wire the headunit up cause mine is jacked up.
Bruh where’d you find the factory amp? I have the 13’ Altima
Would you be able to help me out on which wires I’m supposed to tap in to? I have the exact amp but can figure out which wires are to what
Thank you finally somebody answered my question I was pretty sure the power went to the factory amp first then came up to the radio but I could not get a clear answer from any video but this one thank you
anytime. thanks for watching
@@jptheinstallguy you know I unplugged the factory amp all together and my radio still works but my amps are being thrown into protection I don't think it had anything to do with the factory amp I'm getting too much power to my amps ,that is whats throwing it into protection when I take a connector off of my alternator it makes my Tahoe run around 13 v and my amps will not go into protection but that is not enough volts to run the Tahoe so I think all I really needed from the beginning was an amp regulator but I have no clue how I'm going to get the amperage I need with one of those . I normally only make music videos on my channel but I think I will make a video about this because it is blowing my mind
Plan on adding AudioControl DSP. 2003 FX35 stock everything w Bose amp. Do I add DSP by tapping into the input speaker leads before the amp or after?
after the amp
@@jptheinstallguy Woild this apply to the LOC I'm using currently? Thank you very much for the fast esponse
Great video bro!!!!Wish it was on a 2007 -13 Chevy tahoe with Bose.
I got a 2007 Dodge Charger and it has a factory amp, but when I unplugged it, it threw the whole car off. Could I just bypass the amp and plug the rest of the wires back into the factory amp and ride out like that?
so how do you keep hands free calling through your speakers if you ran them to an AM amp?
Is it possible to bypass the factory amp with out sending wires to the stock stereo? In other words can i bypass the factory amp and just connect everything str8 to my aftermarket amp. If so how??? Do i tap into the factory input wires to gain signal for the rca converter box for the amp and tap into the factory output wire to connect the amp to send signal from the aftermarket amp. Because Im really trying to avoid taking my whole dash apart and doing it that way. i located the factory amp in the trunk so i figure it be easier if this is possible. Please if someone knows i would really appreciate it. Thank you.
I'm sure there are adapters that could be bough for both ends to save you from cutting and splicing the factory harness.
not really the only harnesses ive seen are for those that the maestro AR can be programmed to and thats only for a select few cars, but that is only for amp integration not bypassing.
JPtheinstallguy 2009 A5 3.2 I need help bro lol, factory amp blown... is there a way I can bypass it since it controls the front touch screen ?
Six months later still no reply

Can you just take the wires coming into amp from radio and wires going to speakers on the amp.and go to new amp
how you find the ones come from the stereo? i find the other the ones going to the speakers
because i going to use my factory stereo i wanna put line converters
if your installing an loc use the same speaker wires at the amp. you dont want to tap into the radio wires because it not a high level signal behind that radio if you have an factory amp in the car
@@jptheinstallguy thanks so much
What is the part number of the amp you working on
im not sure what the part number on the amp was
Thank, Dawgie!!
I have a 2016 ATS non-cue. My question is, I’m using a Schosche LOC2SLSD, I am only hooking up an aftermarket sub/amp (Skar IX10”D2, Skar RP800.1) do I need to run anything to the head unit?
Being that the factory speakers are 1ohm speakers, how did the sound turn out using the aftermarket headunit amp to drive them? That typically doesn't work too well being that most 4 channel amps head unit or standalone are rated at 4-8 ohms.
Didn't matter because we swapped speakers
Hey great video but what are the wires going to the speakers that you put connectors on?
The speakers are actually 2 ohm ran in series for a 1 ohm load
