    This is literally THE BEST installation video of any kind that I have ever watched! Companies should pay you to put these videos together, you did an excellent job! I'm definitely thinking I can install mine now without having to hire someone. The only concern I have is, I have a concrete wall in my garage. Any tips on installing on a concrete wall versus plywood/studs?

      Thank you so much for the kind works I’m glad you found it helpful. As for concrete, I think you just need more powerful tools. I would start with a hammer drill and a special concrete drill bit that’s probably made out of a dragons tooth or something. Maybe this video can help th-cam.com/video/Xq1tSFduzVo/w-d-xo.html. I also think you can rent this tool from a Home Depot. A minor inconvenience but still doable. I would bring the lag screw to Home Depot with you and let them know exactly what you’re trying to accomplish. Other than that the process is the same. Hope this helps. Good luck!

    If my floor is uneven should I still mark each hole 19 inches off the ground?

    • @jimmypenna26
      @jimmypenna26  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would make one mark 19” off the ground from the highest part of the uneven floor then just make sure you use a level and mark the other side. (Does that make sense?) Then as someone mentioned in the comments, get a leveling kit. Prx sells them for $5 and they just snap on to the bottom of the uprights. Very important to make sure both brackets are level. Hope that helps.

  • @HamzaRashid

    Great video! My garage has concrete foundation like yours but it comes up 31inches from the ground. I know PRX recommends 19 inches but is it possible to install the bottom mount on one of the higher holes on the rack?

    Nice! How tall is your ceiling and what size rack did you go with? 90” or 96”?

    • @jimmypenna26
      @jimmypenna26  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My ceiling is 10 feet and my rack is 90'. I installed this in my garage and It fits great. It won't work with the standard 8ft ceilings.

    Just installed mine, was it hard to fold at first? Cause mine is

    • @jimmypenna26
      @jimmypenna26  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes it was. When it’s about a couple inches from the wall it does jam up a little but not a big deal for me. I think it’s because my walls are a little wonky

    Is there a way to shorten the gas shock to attach it to the ears? Everything was smooth except for the very last step

    • @jimmypenna26
      @jimmypenna26  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's odd. They're designed to fit perfectly no matter how off the installation is. Are you sure the ears are pointing down? Hard to say without seeing it.

    • @jacobsigworth2475
      @jacobsigworth2475 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I wish I could post the pictures of what I’m talking about. Ears are pointing down on both brackets and the silver part of the shock is about 1/2 inch too long for me to properly attach it.

    • @jimmypenna26
      @jimmypenna26  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jacobsigworth2475 damn sorry to hear it. Maybe the shocks are extended a little and you need to push the ends together to compress them? I’d call their customer support, hopefully they can help you. Good luck.

    What if the top gas pistons don’t fit?

    • @jimmypenna26
      @jimmypenna26  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The way the arms attach to the bracket make the pistons fit perfectly. So even if you screw up the measurements, they will still attach perfectly.

    • @jimmypenna26

    What do you do if the floor isnt even

    • @jimmypenna26
      @jimmypenna26  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends how uneven it is. Mine is a little uneven but once you do pull ups or hang up a bar with weights it settles to the floor. It might also help to add floor tiles which is what I am going to do next.
