Abrasive Chop Saw

This Video will show you the proper use of the Abrasive Chop Saw in the Tyler Metal Shop. Don't cut aluminum of other nonferrous metals on this saw or it will gum up the abrasive wheel. You can cut Stainless Steel and Tool Steel on this machine. Also be sure to check the cutting wheel for defects before using (no cracks or chunks missing). Always WEAR A FACE SHIELD when operating this machine. Never use excessive pressure on the blade when cutting. Always gently make contact with your part; never slam the blade down on your material or the blade can crack or shatter.
