For those who aren’t aware, this is during the period where she was in almost every scene and storyline and was being payed significantly less than William H. Macy who albeit was also a fan favorite, had less screen time than she did. She was fighting with producers and directors about why they wouldn’t pay her more but William H. Macy was making like 3 or 4 times what she was per episode and the fighting eventually spilled over to her fighting with coworkers and sometimes giving bad advice to the younger ones like Ethan Cutkosky and Emma Kenney out of spite to the directors and producers. Towards the end of the run of Shameless is when all of this started going down. I believe late season 6 or early season 7. There were some episodes where you can just see her not out her all into some scenes. She was also still dealing with mild PTSD after the season 4 prison strip search episode because even though they didn’t actually strip search her fully, some of what they did during the filming was violating. She said in an interview that she wasn’t even allowed to put on her privacy patches (patches used to cover nipples and genitalia) so she was fully exposed to dozens of men and women just staring at her in such a violating scene which caused her to have a real panic attack on camera. Her panic attack in that scene is not Fiona Gallagher having a panic attack, that’s Emmy Rossum having a panic attack. They kept the footage of her panic attack in the scene to spice up the scene and make it more believable.
That prison scene is what made me hate the writers for putting Emmy through that hell. Like who the hell does that to a person and not even ask if she's okay or cut the cameras?! Or questioning if you're violating her privacy as a woman if she's fully naked

So yeah, I think I’ll take Emma’s (the 24 yr old “child”’s) word over yours. Also, we all have full-time jobs, we all get mentally and physically exhausted from working long shifts. STILL, that does not give us the right to treat others like shit.
Fiona’s character had no progression after season 4, just constant cheating on bfs, getting drunk, promiscuity again and again. Other characters like carl, lip, debbie have better character development, either growth or getting more f*cked up 😂
Fun fact: She was treated like shit this whole show and that's why she left. Some would even say she was subjected to mental abuse and boarder line physical abuse during shooting.

She wanted to be paid similar to the rest of the actors since she was a main character yet got paid the least comparatively. One person said they didn’t like her.
