Yea, the interviewer should’ve included questions for Christian. I was actually looking forward to hearing from him and Liam’s character. Also, the interviewer seemed a bit awkward and the cast looked very uncomfortable.
The scene Cameron was talking about was actually one of the most brutal scenes I've ever seen. Like I've seen stuff like 13 reasons why (the uncut, original version) and like brutal shit in general but to see characters you're so close to go through something so horrible is honestly next level. Like its not only the fact that it was like quite uncensored rape but it was also the fact that Mickey was like almost unconscious in that scene. And how Noel acted in that one... You could literally see his eyes say 'im sorry' and 'im scared'. It's also important for Mickey's character. When he said somewhere in season 1 I think 'if my dad finds out about this he will kill me himself' you as a viewer go like 'yeah well.... Probably not.' but in that scene you can see that his fear of his father is actually justified. Idk it's one of the most important scenes for Mickey in my opinion even if it's so unapologetically brutal.
Shows like this are my absolute favorite. 13 reasons why, shameless.. they're scripted, but they feel real. It's different than shows like the office where the point is solely comedy. I think it's so much better when you feel you can relate to the pain they feel.
It was a very important scene. That scene showed us exactly his upbringing. It helped me learn Mickey in a way that was understanding of why he acted the way he did.
honestly that scene was brutal.. the absolute hurt in mickeys eyes was so real and looking at ian and an almost im sorry kinda look was so sad… and the way ian just had to stare at him and it hurt so bad

I started binge watching US Shameless on Netflix in UK early 2020 and have fallen in love with it! So much better than our version, can't believe I didn't watch it before last year. Hoping Netflix adds season 10 soon and then the final season. Will miss it when it's over!
My daughters watched the us version without knowing that it was actually a British show. I have to say I completely disagree with you though, this show is about life on a rough council estate in the north west of England and it simply doesn't translate across the pond. Now, after watching the original British version, my daughters totally agree. As brilliant as William H Macy is he just doesn't get who frank Gallagher is, Frank is a product of broken Britain, not just an alcoholic junkie, and the main point the US writers missed is that frank is a survivor and no matter what he would never have taken his own life, that's just not who frank Gallagher is.
I'm currently re-watching the entire show and I have to compliment these actors for delivering something that hits home no matter the background. I have to add a special thank you to you being vulnerable, it made every scene so real that it could have been a scene from a live show. Incredibly every one of the Gallagher children showed that they could be Frank given the right circumstances and they portrayed that side of them where they are so similar to Frank in a superb way. Thank you!
The scene that has always stuck with me since first watching the show years ago is when Monica slit her wrists. For those couple episodes you see Monica seemingly get her shit together, so Fiona is trying to get her life and freedom back and doesn't realize that it's just a manic episode until Lip gives her a wakeup call. Fiona then submits to the fact that nothing has changed and she still has to be the parent. And then the scene in the kitchen.... the acting, the music score. It definitely had a lasting impression on me
I have recently been binge watching (2 episodes every day) until s6 where I am now. And I've really fallen in love with all of the characters. I love how the writers put so much into each character in the chaos world of the show. Wow. I absolutely love this video/interview, there is so much insight. I ditn even know the actors names and I'm learning them now. Complete respect and admiration for these actors that have captivated me so well.
Weird how all the "situations" are from season 3. Ian and Micky relationship gets "discoverd" micky`s dad, Lip and the Teacher, Debs and the mean girls, V and the three-some. All of that happend in season 3... It was an insane season of shameless
Love that Cameron spoke about *that scene* cause I feel like it's not talked about enough. I skip it because it's THAT uncomfortable and disturbing to watch. I've seen gorey torture porn horror movies that are easier to watch that *that scene*.
Its their professionalism that stops them from admiting that there surely were many moments, when they were not in agreement with creators intent. I mean...they know their characters. They gotta know how much some of the stuff is not really fitting in the character arc. I dont believe for a moment they dont see what I see:-D Unless I see ghosts and am absolutely delusional. Noel, Cam...:-D
I think the last comment made by Lip (I'm not versed in his real name, sorry) Is the strongest of all. Imagine the pain of some actors watching directors producing nonsense to make the show last longer and to produce a profit. Imagine how much that hurts the actors who're invested in their character. I've never thought of that.
Aw man I just finished watching the show again and I needed to see them be real people because I got really sad... Shameless was not a perfect show but it had really wonderful character and storytelling moments. I love watching it again and again.
They ALL did a great job with their characters !! I know it had to end sometime but I wished it didn't.. Bravo to all of you guys and the rest of the characters xx
4:10 to this day I cannot bring myself to watch that r*pe scene, it‘s so triggering and all the more scarring when you think about all the assault the Milkovich‘s have had to face by their father but also the sheer reality it must represent in some parts of the world
Inthink the girl getting hit by the car was the worst one. Mickys sis the troubled teen Lip was friends with. His lil new g.f. did it. The under table B.J. girl.
as someone who grew up watching the UK version of shameless to then see America make it's own version, I was very sceptical if it was going to be good or not since alot of American shows that came from the UK weren't that good. but after watching the US version I have grown to love it so much and I am so glad it exists :D

I started binge watching US Shameless on Netflix in UK early 2020 and have fallen in love with it! So much better than our version, can't believe I didn't watch it before last year. Hoping Netflix adds season 10 soon and then the final season. Will miss it when it's over!
Better than the real version? Nah. As usual the dumb yank version is not better.
Its is it has better humor and ian is better in the us version and its way darker
They added the new season .
Even some made me uncomfortable but a great show love it
frank cutting off debbies toes made me uncomfy
@@chloem72 yeah it was gross as hell
@@chloem72 jfc he cut her toes off?
@@abcde_ghijklmnopqrstuvwyxz2188 yeah in one of the later seasons
hearing mickey talk like that is mind blowing
i love how shanola talks just like v in irl 😭😭
I'm currently re-watching the entire show and I have to compliment these actors for delivering something that hits home no matter the background. I have to add a special thank you to you being vulnerable, it made every scene so real that it could have been a scene from a live show. Incredibly every one of the Gallagher children showed that they could be Frank given the right circumstances and they portrayed that side of them where they are so similar to Frank in a superb way. Thank you!
Noel Fisher. That’s all. ❤️
Cute...but...Cameron Monaghan 💖
Sweet... but Jeremy Allen🤍
@@ashleighskyes9107 cute and sweet.... but every single person on this show 😍
@@user-sd2hg5wy1i ok, but periodt. All of them. Fiona, Veronica, KEV, Ian, Lip, Mickey, etc etc etc
@@ashleighskyes9107 mickkeeeyyyyy
Can we bring this show back, please? I really miss them.
Same
why did ethan look so depressed during the first 2 minutes
@Anna Ollila right
Omigod Debbie being likable WOW I’ve seen everything
The scene that has always stuck with me since first watching the show years ago is when Monica slit her wrists. For those couple episodes you see Monica seemingly get her shit together, so Fiona is trying to get her life and freedom back and doesn't realize that it's just a manic episode until Lip gives her a wakeup call. Fiona then submits to the fact that nothing has changed and she still has to be the parent. And then the scene in the kitchen.... the acting, the music score. It definitely had a lasting impression on me
Lip has hair again. YAYAYAYAYAYAY
nooooo
It Was The Awkward Silence For Me 😂
The silence was loud😶
Lol they were all thinking about the question
it was NOT awkward
Lip smashing the car in college scene was epic.
This man made it so uncomfortable and made me uncomfortable god
you make no sense
@@laurenflowerslament yet I do if you read it you would understand but you didn’t
How?
@@ladywed2699 they’re not talking about the show itself but the interviewer and how he went about it
I have recently been binge watching (2 episodes every day) until s6 where I am now.
They are all really talented actors, it’s so strange seeing the real versions of themselves
They all played their characters extremely well
the way they talk about each others in a really respectful way

jeremy is literally no different from lip, the way he speaks is so similar i love it
Love that Cameron spoke about *that scene* cause I feel like it's not talked about enough. I skip it because it's THAT uncomfortable and disturbing to watch. I've seen gorey torture porn horror movies that are easier to watch that *that scene*.
I relate to shameless so much cuz I also have a very dysfunctional family and I just feel part of the show in a way
Same here.
Same
I love Ian and micky relationship... Thr fights I enjoy alot
christian just sitting there like 🧍🏾
Naming the show “ Shameless “ was definitely the most fitting title, I can’t think of a single character that feels any shame for doing crazy shit 😅
Noel, Cam...:-D
omg yes for sure
Why’d u bring up Noel and Cam ??(genuine question, not hating)
I love how v still has veronicas personality off set 😂
I think the last comment made by Lip (I'm not versed in his real name, sorry)
Is the strongest of all. Imagine the pain of some actors watching directors producing nonsense to make the show last longer and to produce a profit. Imagine how much that hurts the actors who're invested in their character. I've never thought of that.
Cameron: I think they could be uncomfortable cause of the *FRANKness* of the sexuality
Aw man I just finished watching the show again and I needed to see them be real people because I got really sad... Shameless was not a perfect show but it had really wonderful character and storytelling moments. I love watching it again and again.
as soon as shanola started talking i burst out laughing 😂❤️ loved her character
I love this cast of actors, they owned their characters, they became them 👍. ♥️🙏✌️😎
that scene cameron spoke is truly one of the most traumatising scenes i have ever watched
My fiancés mom grew up near the actor that plays frank and she’s always shocked about the scenes that he did lol
Cameron is so eloquent
Not me tearing up this has been my all time fave shows
Ethan/Carl will forever be my favorite on the show! I love him!! ❤
They ALL did a great job with their characters !! I know it had to end sometime but I wished it didn't.. Bravo to all of you guys and the rest of the characters xx
These kids have trauma the rest of their lives from this show
Can we just talk about how good Jeremy and Ethan look
IM CRYING V AND LIP'S ACTOR IS SO SIMILARR TO THEMM
I’m Gonna Miss This Show So Much !
its so cute how the boy who plays liam only smiles after veronica's part
Such an awesome show and cast! You all do a wonderful job with your characters!
I always get excited when William H. Macy’s scenes comes out. He is such an amazing actor!
Hevsure made us all hate Frank. Throwing him in the river was a bit extreme tho. And he was right about FI,s groom. He was a drugee!
I actually saw an episode of the UK version first. Wasn't a fan. Took a chance on the USA version and loved it.
The actor for Ian is VERY handsome. “Lip” is also very cute but they could never control his hair except for maybe one season😂 He has lovely curly hair.
I only finished shameless today but this show has a special place in my heart
It's weird watching Mickey so articulate in speaking and being so respectful.
seeing them be so like respectful is odd 😭
They’re so well spoken it’s so weird to hear them😭
