Oh yes! That version of Koji Tamaki singing when he was older made me cry! I couldn't watch more than a very short bit of it and had to turn it off it was so sad.

She has done an excellent job both with the editing and the graphics but she did a spectacular job os selecting the qualities that she wanted to highlight in each episode.

Can’t decide which is my favourite song by Dimash, it is different on different days and as new songs come out, but Ikenaide is definitely top three. I’m from U.K. and I’m seeing both Dimash concerts in May. I’m sooo lucky (Christine)

Just to.let you know , original singer heard dimash sing his song ,he was moved by Dimash and praised him.
This is about a broken heart of a love lost , meaning "Don't Go".... it's truly sad
Did you know Dimash also sings this song in mandarin and it’s called Autumn Strong. It has slightly different lyrics but is also about loss. He sang it first in I Am Singer comp in 2017, his first song in mandarin. Gloria Wu shows that performance and the back story and you see Dimash worrying about his mandarin pronunciation and whether the audience would understand. I can tell you that yes, they loved it. But the performance I live best us when he sung it in Kiev, before the war. He does a different special ending. It is beautiful, At concerts, be now does a mash up of the two, part Japanese, part mandarin, He is precious.

Thanks. btw: Two things about your reaction to "Sinful Passion": The run at the end of the song was 24 seconds long, which is incredible breath control; and second, the man you saw in the front row, wearing a white shirt, and giving Dimash the standing ovation, was Igor Krutoy, the famous Ukranian composer, who, after witnessing that performance, came out of retirement, and began composing for Dimash. They have made a wonderful team since then. So happy to see your channel doing well. I'm an 82yo former performer, myself, and am so grateful to have lived long enough to experience this most gifted vocalist I've ever heard. Truly a voice from God. ICYDK, Dimash sings in 17 different languages, and plays 7 different instruments, as well. What a Godsend!

His father once said that Dimash studies a song, then passes it through himself, then sings it for his audience.❤ But you will need to start listening/watching his Kazakh songs to really know who he is. It is such a truly beautiful song. Koji has such a beautiful voice. Dimash was stunning in both the Japanese and Chinese versions.
This song, and Daybreak are two of my favourite covers by Dimash. But, I also love Han Hong's own version of "Daybreak", as she wrote it for her adopted son, the sole survivor of that cable car accident. That backstory catches me every time I hear it.

If you ever do a reaction to him doing the Chinese song “Autumn Strong” you’ll note that it’s the same tune but a different song (and not just a translation from Japanese into Chinese)

I think that Koni Tamaki’s soft beautiful voice was drowned out by the Orchestra! Whereas, Dimash’s voice is in the foreground, without the heavy Orchestra drowning it out! My opinion, but I love both versions. I am a Dimash DEAR!! 🤩😘😍🥰👏👍🌹💐❤️🇨🇦

Tamaki has a great voice, really beautiful. Thank you for sharing it with us. Dimash, of course, is beautiful as usual. See the Prague concert. He asked which language we wanted, Chinese or Japanese, and while everyone was shouting out,he said, OK, Qazaq then. But he sang in both. AND at the end held the mic out away from his mouth. It was still perfect.
He does "feel" every song and just goes inside them. You can sometimes see him come back when he finishes, so please try to watch until the very end of his performances, he will show you when he's "back" if you watch closely. This is such an awesome performance!
Totally agreed with you that Dimash leaves you searching for words while not being able to say more. Truth is, there is not enough words to describe Dimash and his angelic voice. He takes this song and made you feel the full range of emotions and the sadness of a loved one leaving, and you really feel his anguish and his pleading for her not to go. Your heart aches with him while you are listening to him sing. Yes, he did say that music is universal, and he truly embodies music through and through. He takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride, and we are all gladly get back on the ride and do it over and over again. Dimash has that special something magical that no one can teach or quite reach or achieve like he did. He is heaven sent. I discovered Dimash last summer and his oure and angelic voice brought joy of music back to my life and I MUST listen to his voice every single day to feel good. I feel the love. I feel the heartache and I feel the uplifting emotions that he pour out from his voice to go right through your heart and soul. He is the only artist who gives me goosebumps and chills every time.

Thank you for playing both versions. I love them both! A later version by Koji Tamaki is even more poignant and pain-filled. It did show that Dimash’s pronunciation was near-perfect, for sure! I listened to it so many times that I learned the lyrics. 😂

this is one of my favourites of Dimash. He draws you into the music and the words as if he is living them in the present moment. He is an amazing performer.
