Wonderful reaction to an absolutely magical song. I believe the Chinese video game is called Midnight Blade. Other commenters in the past have said the video game is ABOUT Dimash who has been captured and is being held prisoner in a dream on an island. The player must build a boat to go rescue him. This is why he is holding a small paper boat in the end. Dimash (Dimashi !) remains incredibly popular in China and seems to be a guest on all the spectacular programs they put on throughout the year. There is one this Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 20:06 Beijing time. Beijing is 13 hrs ahead of Central Daylight Time. Called Beauty and Harmony, it may be watched on the CCTV website or on CCTV’s TH-cam channel. Often these have not had subtitles but the productions are visually stunning and worth watching while waiting for Dimash. As an example, for a previous program they filmed Dimash singing “Thousand Miles” in a duet with an entire orchestra in the deepest cave in China. On Saturday he will be singing “You Raise Me Up.” Even though this will most likely appear later on TH-cam, for me it is worth watching at 7AM.

Not a movie, but a theme song of a video game. Moonlight Blade is an online game produced by Tencent with 3D movie-like scenes of ancient China. For this theme song, Moonlight Blade invited internationally renowned musicians to work with Dimash. This song won in "Hollywood Music in Media Awards" in nomination "The best original song of video game".
Such a beautiful song and, of course, Dimash's performance was just superb.

Thank you for your reaction. This is one of my favorites. The composer shared that he wrote it for 2 octaves, and thought that was a lot. However, Dimash took the reigns and took it up 3.5 octaves during the climax. I think it is magical.

This song recorded in 2017 is so beautiful. It is for a Chinese video game and actually won an award. The way the video wonderfully features Dimash with the animation is artistic and tastefully done.

I had three Russian songs in a row, none of which had subtitles. That was followed up by a Bjork song. If you haven't seen that one, you might want to watch it. It explains a lot about why I reacted the way that I did. It was nice to get back to sanity with Dimash.
