He has had some color guard training. He throws and catches like he is tossing a saber to rifle. Usually when the mace is tossed it is tossed with one hand and catches singularly with the other. He is good.
And those of you in the UK... American maces tend to be smaller and lighter and usually tossed with two hands, similar to a guard rifle or saber. I still catch the toss with one hand. That's how I learned anyway.
