Drum major Christian Richter - Sven Schilling - marching band

Drum major Oberstabsfeldwebel Christian Richter has been leading the minstrel band of the Bundeswehr staff music corps for 18 years. In September 2021 he will retire and hand over the baton to Sergeant Sven Schilling. The marching band consists of drummers and flautists. The video introduces the two drum majors Christian Richter and Sven Schilling, explains the formal processes involved in using the marching band and goes into the posture and use of the baton in interaction with the musicians during verbal and non-verbal commands. The marching band plays two pieces by way of example: "Awakening with joy in life" and the "Transition to the Great Zapfenstreichmarsch".
