The idea of being in your “prime“ does have some merit to it. There is an optimal period in the human lifespan in which we are at our peak physiologically. It’s usually considered the gap in between when we’ve already fully developed but before our body starts to mature into older/old age and we start to lose certain functions. But being in your prime physiologically doesn’t always match up with when you’re in your prime when it comes to societal views.
As a 38 year old woman, I would just recommend tretinoin along with a gentle skincare regimen, sunscreen, sunshades to protect white of your eyes, plenty of water and healthy diet with minimal alcohol as you get older. No smoking. I would have started all this younger if I knew what I know now. Oh and no toxic men/ relationships 😉

Like, that doctor saying he wouldn't do a facelift on a 24 year old really should be the norm, and its so sad that it clearly isn't. I'm not even against plastic surgery or injections but I think women in particular are being used simultaneously as guineapigs and cash cows for the beauty industry, and its just so sad.

To my fellow 20 something year olds, don’t listen to our peers. I remember getting bullied in middle school for looking like I was in my 40s and I’m sure if I was to ask them, they would say I look 40+. Yet when I come across actual 40+ year olds they can tell that I’m in my 20s.
In order to be a good candidate for Lasik eye surgery, your vision has to have been stable for several years before a doctor would do the surgery. This is because if your vision is unstable prior to the surgery, it could still change after you’ve gotten the surgery. I think the same concept needs to be applied when it comes to cosmetic surgery/preventative aging. Why go in and make these major changes to your body if your body is still developing?
Kylie had a recent facelift after getting her fillers dissolved at 27 years old cause she had sagging skin. Plus, she looks like a completely different person with all of the massive plastic surgery.
