The second car I've ever done, this week I pimped out a classic van body from pre-1977. Hope you like it! Audio is kinda bad.. Working on it.. You know what they say.. 3rd Mic is the charm! Thanks for the support guys!

Good idea for free time
This is the 1st hotwheel restore I watched ever, liked it, thinking about making it another hobby of mine. Good work.
Incredible to watch you evolve from 2018 to 2022 in materials, techniques, quality control, and so on. Come back! Can't wait to see what you're doing now.
I love watching these older videos and seeing how much you’ve progressed since this.
When your laying down that paint. Polish the body till it's a mirror finish then apply 2/3 very light coats of spectra flame paint this should help with getting the look your aiming to get. Keep up the good work bro
The wheels remind me of sticking a dvd player in a classic just don't mix
Agreed 👍 now it looks like just another modern recast😪
Turned out beautiful! Maybe a little polishing compound might smooth out some of the “orange peel” imperfections, after letting that paint harden and cure for a few more days. But overall, it turned out gorgeous. Great color. I saw a customized Hot Wheels Van at a modeling show once with those old style, tinted porthole bubble windows that were popular in the late ‘70’s, during the Van Craze...it was all drilled out, and the guy used a thin, tinted plastic sheet that he heated with a hair dryer to form those bubble portholes, then used a silver chrome paint pen to reproduce the trim ring around the “glass.” That turned out pretty nice.
There’s so many great ideas out there for customizing these little gems. The possibilities are endless.
People are getting all persnickety about using modern wheels, but as you said, it's an experiment. I think it turned out great.
I entirely love the way you dare deviate from the original. Very creative, thank you!
Thank you! Finally! Nobody would watch the resto on a 74’ work van in basic white. Lol. Some of these guys would...

There is truly a TH-cam channel for everything. Don't even care for hot wheels but I like painting and restoration, so this is fun to watch
Watch a newer video of mine, they are so much better than that video!
I need to know the rest of the red wine story
I had a great time with a Hot Wheels van very similar to that. It was awesome.
Stumbled onto this channel and I love it
I had 3 of these when I was a kid. They were always my favorites
I'm in my 60's and remembered my first redline hotwheels car,a blue custom cougar in 1968 and once I got that one it was only the beginning to a great hobby.I to have started to restore and customize not for profit but for the joy of creating a 1 of 1 car. They can keep their super treasure hunts. I just finished the super van as a charlies angels pink van the decals are out there to buy.great job keep making your videos.😊
I have spent my entire Saturday watching your vids, Thanks!
I don't know why but it's very soothing for my eyes to watch this video
thank you for the inspiration, taking my full size car career to 1/64 in retirement. Can't wait to experiment, love your video!
Who else has a collection of hot wheels leave a like😙
I have 542 hot wheels in boxes 👍
Just watching a grown man playing with a toy car very cool.
I love it. Your funny, extremely creative and really talented. Great job! Can't wait to see what the future holds!
Always glad to see these little cars get a new look on life. That little van is adorable
Right! Same here Jen
@@acmll2890 🥰
@@easyontheeyes78 I'm 31 but I love all old cars give me an old car over anything new any day lol
@@easyontheeyes78 do you have a favorite car?
@@acmll2890 OMG yes! My favorite car in the world is the Ford Taurus station wagon from 1986-1995. Last year I owned a 1991 and a 1992 until July 26th, 2021 when my 1992 died. I cried in front of 5 people. I still have my 1991 though.
Wow nice paint. I’m a 70’s kid and love custom vans
I have more of them to do! I want to find a shorty van as well and put some cragers on it lol
@@DiecastResurrection I'm 54 and wanted a mid 70's Chevy Van with Cragers, side pipes, and Chevy Bowtie porthole windows. Even though I had a job at 16 and was going to buy it, my parents refused. They new I would have girls in it and partying. Listening to Van Halen and Kiss.
Super cool😊❤
I'm here for the retro trip down memory lane. 👍
Here’s a tip... use two bottles of thinner. One for silver and metallics, the second for none metallics. Same principle for brushes. Sweet ride!!
Nice job, looks great, just flashed back to see some of your earlier work, good then, even better now
Nice van ...
Crazy pink color w/white interior is a nice touch !!
Sweeeet ride👍Next up custom '66 Batmobile (Blue glass) Spectraflame pink and Redline Wheels, you know you wanna 😊

Hi, for the paint on the windshield, you could use Brake fluid DOT4 to remove this paint. NIce custom!!
Seen this done several times. Works well.
Yup, what they said, dot 4 brake fluid is your friend! Not dot 5 as it is silicone based and won't touch paint.
Dot 3 works well too. I've used it for years. Never had it damage plastic or rubber.
Put baking soda on the super glue to make it hard as metal.
Yea I’ve seen that on Marty’s videos, haven’t tried it out yet though. Thanks for the tip.
Baking soda has flour in it. be sure to use pure bicarbonate soda.
Vvv I'm
I seriously doubt that makes the super glue any stronger.
Nice
Cool collour. Good idea with biger wheels
Dam that van came out gorgeous... You truly are an artist....
Viejo que paciencia pero queda muy bien, felicitaciones
Great job I did the same van in a girly pink ! ,I like how you shaved of the metal plates on the back axle good idea gonna try that myself next time 👍👍
Yea you get a whole different colour when you spray the specta-flame on thick like an enamel. I wasn’t expecting that look but it looked pretty sweet!
Yeah right before he started cutting, he stated that he wasn't sure if the base would be strong enough to handle those plates being gone. But it isn't like they're going to get smashed into each other anymore, or played with anymore, so it was a good gamble. I'm sure that even if it wasn't strong enough, he probably could have fashioned something out of JB Weld putty epoxy to reinforce the base. As long as the parts and your hands, or gloves, are clean. The possibilities with that stuff are pretty much endless.
I think doing the interior in white was a real good call with the pink body.
I was pumped to see it zinc coated and spectra flamed. Then I seen it was a way earlier piece. Came out nice all the same. Good job. Keep up the good work. Your show is good.
mean terrible machine!!!!! your colors were out of this world great customizing!!!!! good job
Io lo facevo a 10 anni.
Tu sei un professionista
Nice looking van and I enjoy your sense of humour 🙂
I had no clue people actually restore hot wheels and how to do it. I wish I held onto this one car I had all through out my childhood I brung with me for a while that way I could restore it. Very cool video definitely looking into doing something like this
Believe me my friend your ready for redline cars, I love your videos the best. Keep them coming.
That reminds me of the old Scooby Do Van!!!!!
Congrats on your success switching gears from army rations to this!! Cheers!
Thanks you guys! I couldn't do the grind over there anymore, too many people were doing it.
All’inizio credevo che il risultato finale sarebbe stato tutt’altro che bello per via del colore; poi a fine video ho visto l’auto completa e devo dire che sono rimasta veramente sbalordita.
Complimenti, ottimo lavoro! ❤️
Those mainlines look cool though a set of steely's would look crisp as well. Noish finish and the metalflake first coat was a stellar move
I liked everything but changing the wheels to newer ones great job
I wish you made the van to a mystery machine lol that would be so cool
awesome! I cant wait to start customizing cars! this video really helped
Great job. To be honest I was hoping it would be a custom mystery machine . That would still be cool to see.
I would watch a tv show just about you customise old hot wheels
very good job. like the color and the interior details.
I watched the video in 12:00 2019 happy new year🙂

im watching this a day before 2020
Looks fantastic
I'm a kid and I love your channel!
Sweet build-up of that!!!

What a mechanic!!
Wow amazing work! 🫡🙌🙌🙌
Alclad II my friend, you can drop a super good super smooth chrome finish then lay the Spectra over it, about as close as it gets without the special hot wheels process lol. Great video! THe super gloss black from Alclad will fill in a lot of minor imperfections for sure especially if you use their grey base primer first. Have to test it out not sure how those Lacquers will play with Spectra but is a nice system to try. AK makes a wicked chrome as well.
You are an artist!👍😉
that van looks badass sweett!!! nice color!!!
you might try the Molotow Chrome pen as a chrome base. It is by far the best faux chrome I have found and works great on model cars. it can also be thinned and sprayed through an airbrush with great results.
Scooby Doo, Shaggy, and the gang, would be proud. LOL. Cool!
Nice, soaking plastic parts in brake fluid also gently removes paint, good for clear parts, no scratching.
Helps to see the real world of custom work. I will be better equipped to try stuff! More fun than a barrel of monkeys!
You should be able to adjust your automatic center punch so that it doesn't take as hard of a push to make it fire. It won't hit as hard, but you will have more control and can push down on it a few times. I believe you should just be able to unscrew the back cap a bit to get that adjustment. Give it a try on a test surface.
BaremetalHW is a tough act to follow I think but I enjoyed the couple videos of yours. Looking forward to seeing more of vids.
Thanks for the tip, I tried it today on the next project and it was better! :D
Awesome job buddy that color is wicked great job thanks for sharing buddy 👍👍
Looks really good, great color choice.
Your videos are fascinating
Miss you bud, how everything's ok over there in the prairies.
you did it again..nice job..
I was just scrolling through my recommended and as soon as i saw this my first thought was “holy shit thats fuckin wicked”
Wow it is just amazing
Beautiful job!
The original yellow paint tells me that van is the Paramedic Van, which I still have from my youth.
The oldies are goodies!
Wow that thing lots hot buddy!!
Nice cute van + nice channel= sup
i think this would have been perfect for a wizard riding a fire-breathing dragon mural decal.
Freaking sweet! Nice candy paint job!
wow amazing..i like this colour
Your videos are entertaining to watch and you do pretty nice cars, keep up the good work. The van needs some graphics pin striping or something else to break up side of the van.
Looks nice!!
Great job! Sorry I didn't see it earlier.
Hopefully you switch to zinc plating and electro polishing soon. I cringe when I see someone grind on a base to restore. You can pick up everything needed to electro polish at a hardware store. Whith that said I enjoyed your vidio. I love watching restorations! I am currently stCking up on needed tools n materials myself. If only there were more people doing it. There arent enough vidios in my oppinion.
No worries Eric, my zinc plating setup is already in the mail, I should see it in the middle of next week sometime. I'll just need the acid in order to electro-polish. Its all coming brother don't worry!!
Really sweet dude. Thanks for sharing
Nothing light about those pink coats xD
Wow amazing video
We got some pretty big wheels “come back here”
That was a sweet color on the 1974 Van! I wonder if the grooves along the sides of the Van would have looked pretty good with Chrome Silver lines on it? It was still a good job though! ✌️

Amazing video
Wow it looks nicer
You get professional results. Nice paint idea. But especially using the $1 mainline wheels, it rather looks like a regular modern hotwheel than a vintage custom. It's mostly due to the wheel choice
Thanks but that van is trash compared to what I'm doing now, it was literally the second one I ever did lol
Compound the paint when you are done and wax polish. To smooth out and get rid of orange peel.
Pretty cool! Keep it up
Bad ass Van ! 👍
Damn right!
Looks great
WOW,THIS IS AMIZING
Increible
Omg I actually have this van,
