I think a "straight pipe" is supposed to be a complete delete of everything on the pipes from the exhaust ports. And this not being that but just deleting the two silencers is definitetly way better!

You have to pay insurance + every 2 year "emision review" + a few years ago you had to pay every year Tax for "Road maintenance"(more HP you have more you pay), but there was the problem for the italian law! If the road damage your car, the region where you live had to pay you refund for the damage!!! So they converted that taxes from "Road maintanence" to "Taxes of possesion" so without the layer if you damage your car, from bad condition of the road, you wont get any refund. So for example my car is Alfa Romeo Giulietta 2.0 diesel 143Hp, i have to pay tax for possesione somethink like 300 euro each year. And more horse power you have more you pay, and if you exceed 250Hp you pay almost double for each Hp over 250. Welcome to Italy :D

In **_SPORT_** Mode the B200 is quite enough frightening for me personally and use it carefully. I now have the full monty the W247 B200CDi AMG and its performance is unreal. Not taken it abroad yet due to LOCKDOWN but no doubt will outperform its predecessor.*

Hey Mat! I hope you see this, I installed a Decat downpipe to my Mercedes GLA 45 2015 today and it sounds great, however i seem to be having exhaust leak from the joint between the turbo and downpipe, Do you know/remember if there was any gasket there? I really did not see anything whilst i was working on it, what would you use to seal/stop the exhaust fumes, they collect in the engine bay and then go inside the cabin, not very nice at all, ive checked and everything is nice and tight. Thanks in Advance mate! Im going to WheelMania this friday as well trying to get the car in a good shape
A remap on a TDI would benifit the car a crap tonne, could probably get a good amount more of low end torque like a friend of mine did, that’s if you get it done properly.

Personal preference, I just don’t like this era of exhausts popping exhausts etc.. listen to the type r gt or an escort rs turbo sounds great without popping. Matt said it himself, it sounds childish. I see people deliberately driving under load at slow speeds just to get the exhaust popping. Maybe I’m just a boring old git now with my diesel 🤷♀️
I can't see this massively affecting the MOT. MOT essentially just checks if the car is safe/road legal. Insurance on the other hand...that may be an issue
