I have ran the pro comp version of these and i believe they are the same. I put them on my 318 and have ran the dog snot out of them and changed nothing. I like them
I have a set on a small block Mopar 340. they doing really well but my cam isnt that big and i used comp cam springs and retainers... So far so good! 155/160 psi on all cylinders! All the Steel heads I found kept coming up cracked and X heads are going for way to much with worries of cracks.. so I did what I did... bought new Speed masters ... seem to be fine....😊
I have a set of the RB/B engine heads. I did this. I basically used valves and springs and other hardware from a 440 Source set. My engine shop who checked for core shift, porosity and proper tolerances. It was actually better than the Edelbrock Performer RPMs. Were it me, everything would be coming apart then rebuilt properly. These ones seem to have a few issues though
Take it from me man, if you are gonna push an engine to run past 5000 rpm, replace all of the valves, guides, and get new valve springs, locks, and retainers that match your cam. It isn't a matter of if they will fail the question is WHEN they will fail. I bought a pair of these heads just like you did years ago, and after 6 months of driving and doing burnouts, they dropped 3 valves and destroyed my 440. We had to sleeve one cylinder and ended up building a 505 stroker out of the engine and using the same heads, but we put manley valves, hughes valve train components to match my new cam, so far so good but we had to do a lot of work with the heads. None of the valves were the size them claimed to be, all of the guides had slop, and none of the valve springs were rated the same. Please dude, spend some money now and build up the heads with quality components or you will be in my same boat, the castings are fantastic castings, but everything else is crap.

Classic quality of Speedmaster stuff. I bet the installed heights were all over the place, springs not the spec they advertise and the cheapo seals. Now let's talk about the quality control of letting them out the door with bolt holes going into the intake ports here and there. It's amazing that as technology has gotten so much better, craftsmanship in every stage of the production and even sales has disappeared. No ethics, no standing behind parts or the labor to make the parts anymore.
My engine builder says assembled heads are junk! The valves don’t seal and the spring’s are wrong. Say’s buy them bare and have them set up with good components.
Should have used the 4V head and filled with epoxy to shape. The cast iron 4V head worked as well as a OEM Cleveland 4V Iron head. They started off as a bare castings. Car ran budjet circle track. Class required Iron heads, 600 cfm carb 360 ci max.

What are the torque settings for these heads, I’m using them on a 360 block, thanks for your time and patience, great videos.
Do you mean torque sequence or the ft lbs?

I agree, I just wanted to try them out for how cheap they are

I expected everything to be wrong on them, I’d never buy new but used for cheap I though wth
cant wait to see em on your moped
Them busa bois better watch out
300 is a steal.
I hope they work for you. I personally have seen a lot of junk pro-comp/speedmaster products.
I got them extremely cheap, so if they don’t it’s not a big deal
Great job on the video! Did you note if the valves are standard Mopar, or some oddball length?
I believe they’re a different length and I know the stem diameter is smaller
Chamber volume?
i never cc them sorry about that
@@beckbuilt3209
Compression is so important, especially in the 8:1 thru 11:1 region
We want every bit as it helps torque and throttle response
@@robertheymann5906 if I remember right with my combo it was 10:2 with advertised cc
are these heads fully CNC? they do have ones that are new and are very high CFM Rated
Yes they are fully Cnc and they flow high compared to stock, it’s kindve a hard question to answer
I'm looking for some aluminum heads for a 400 big block Dodge 6.6 l and a four barrel intake
440 source is the most economical head
I’d personally go with trick flow

I checked the springs, and the valves sealed also. But I understand where he’s coming from

Why would you shave one head more than the other
Just did enough to each head to clean them up
.002 difference is irrelavent.
Heads are not that precise to begin with.
The casting and machine work is on par with 60's American made production head's. The valve train is junk.
