I'm always glad to see an addition to the 30" to 40" wingspan collection. That is an underserved size range. I know it doesn't seem like much, but a plane with 35" wingspan and proportionate length fuselage, is a lot easier to transport than one with a 45" wingspan. Plus a 35" plane handles much better than the tiny 29" and under planes. Just my humble opinion.
It seems so smooth and quiet. I do like the soft wheels for landing, they really help a lot for sure. It looks fantastic, and the tight turns, great looking flight. Thanks for sharing as always Brian. 👍👍👍
Brian & camera crew 😅 i love you guys just the way you are. So honest on your channel. Keep it going as I've got better 5 yrs in watching...return to the hobby ! Just have to stop having brain farts with my jets... 😂 Trees are not a problem anymore as I go to AMA to fly them .
I've just found your channel. I gotta say I love the Entertaining energy you bring while explaining things! Sadly, can't get back into the hobby at this time..
Love your videos, Brian, thanks for doing what you do! If you need an architect for anything, I'm in Des Moines and would love to be a part of the dream property you have going on. More than that, I'd love to come fly with you sometime and see all the progress you've made. I'm still very new to the hobby and still working on flying my Aeroscout out of safe mode more, but what a hobby! Again, thanks for all the great and informative videos!
Hmmm.. So, I added flaps (2 servos and all) to the 800mm FMS P-51, and I'm running an Avian 30amp esc. It's friggin amazing. 3s 1300mAh smart pack cg's the thing perfectly. So, I'm surprised this 1.0m version, same esc, doesn't allow thrust reverse. It's so cute on my little one! Also, no flaps? C'mon man! I know. It's not really for THAT market or whatever... I do like the Little planes. Btw, that FMS P-40b 980mm has flaps and retracts. And the dang thing is too heavy for It's own good. Like flying a friggin freight train. So, Eflite is keeping this one light and simple. But BEAUTIFUL. I get it. But, at least unlock the Avian for TR... right? Great video, as always! Thanks for filming in the AM again, Camera Crew 👍
Yeah but that's PNP and smaller. This one comes bind N fly with Spectrum AX3 Safe receiver for people with the Spectrum ecosystem. Depending on what receiver you use, the flight line isn't as cheap as you make it out to be.
"Know there going to their pond.." LOL! Nice video I might get one of those.. How hard would it be to cut flaps in or program flaperons if you can do that?
Why's it such a difference with the squishy wheels? I just don't know besides the obvious harder landings maybe.. What would you rate the 1220mm Rangers wheels as.. Thats the only one I could reference it to because I own it..
Hi Brian. Can I ask what camera and lens 'Camera Crew' uses to shoot these videos? Must have tried a number of combinations at my flying club for our club videos and I just can't get it anywhere near as good as this. Do you use post-shoot stabilisation techniques like warp stabilise or Gyroflow? Or Sony's Catalyst Browse? Or is all the stabilising done in camera? Gimbals or shoulder rigs? Camera Crew does such an amazing job!
She currently films on her Galaxy S21 Ultra cell phone. That's all we've ever used... whichever cell phone was the newest. No stabilization, post-editing, gimbals or anything. She does use a little handle thing, but it's only so she can clip in the receiver for our wireless mics.
Thanks! I think I’ve been overthinking and overspending. DSLRs are so hard to get steady footage with! Can I ask what mics you use? I’ve got a few but none that I love. Currently using the Lark M1.
Im positive it flys awesome and all but another P-51 Mustang Version 596? cmon eflite try something diffent for a change? Yak-3 would be cool hell even a Ilyushin Il-2 Stormavic flying tank would be exciting to see! enough with the mustangs guys gives us some veriaty now and then!!!
Totally agree, Mustang, Habu, Viper, TIMBER, again and again... We need more BF109, Lavochkin, and commercial aviation too ATR, Airbus, Boeing, more general to complete with the Current Cirrus and Cherokee, a 337 Skymaster would be perfect
Yeah my thoughts exactly. 1m just looks so ungainly with fixed gear although it will be less prone to breaking on rough fields. Definitely don't like the 2 blade prop either.
I probably have 20 G2 Spektrum batteries. I set them to discharge to storage level after 5 days and set storage to 60%, and I've never yet had one self-destruct, and I've never seen one discharge itself below the setting. I've accidently flown batteries to 0% a few times and they've always come back and accepted a charge. The only Spektrum battery I've ever seen "go bad" was when I forgot to unplug one after flying due to distractions, then found it in there a week later.
@Brestae I know have 9 that won't take a charge, they were all set to storage of 3.80 some of them are new and never used! All my cheap batteries still take a charge!
@@mikeanddeepetrillo5602 Boy NINE? That's concerning! Just checked my configs, and the actual storage voltage is at the default... 3.9v. Very curious what Spektrum thinks of that, and more to the point, what all they have you check! Its not freezing where you store them, is it? Try updating firmware in your charger for the hell of it?
This 1m plane with fixed gear should get as much 💩 as the 64mm jets you fly with fixed gear. If arrows hobby and FMS can do 1.1m warbirds with retracts in a 10yr old design, then eflite have no buiness doing fixed gear these days in a plane that size.
Its good that they offer defferent size planes cause they all fly differently and use different battery packs i like a variaty of size but we need more of a variaty of different planes not more P-51s
Disagree completely. Size is not quality. Design and capabilities are quality. This design meets what I want and even though I don't adore the P-51, I have one on order.
its over $100 less than the 1.2m. Looks like they are trying to bring more people to the hobby. Lot easier to come off $230 versus $350. Can use a dxs transmitter and be happy.

This looks like the old parkzone p51 mustang
Pretty sure it is just updated
Yup
The 1.2m Eflite P-51 doesn't have LEDs either. Kind of a bummer.
But the rest of that plane is amazing!!! 😊 👍
Brian according to the Horizon website spare parts list this plane comes with the Apprentice ESC. No reverse thrust for you.
Cables short, Turn the battery around.
1.2 has leds?
Buy the 850mm flight line. It’s way nicer quality, and way less expensive. Jmho.
Agreed I love my 850 P-51 from Flightline, it’s fast even on 3S. Can get it for $150 with shipping from Motion RC.

The flight line 850mm is a way nicer option than this one. The flight line is only $145.

It's a 1M plane for $230 with AX3 SAFE receiver. Pay $120 more and get the 1.2m.
