I'd get some black upholstery and trim paint and take care of all the rest of the mix matched colored. That is, if you still have your OBS. Currently in my stables is a 1999 Classic (GMT400 body style) C25000 for my light duty hauling and my 1995 C3500 one ton Dually for the heavy hitting towing. I worked at Delco Remy building the starters and alternators for these and other GM vehicles and it wasn't long after the end of GMT400 run that quality was no longer job one. So if anyone wants a dead reliable work horse of a truck, look no further than the GMT400 or very early GMT800 (1999-2003). Thanks for making this video Vic! Some sound advice for mods. Cheers! Zip~
A Accel distributor and a msd coil helps these also, granatelli makes a upgraded throttle body for them too! Upgraded injectors is another thing that really helps em out! Nice looking truck!
@@sega2229not really. If you’re not boosting or upgrading your engine then it won’t really make your stock set up any faster. It’s more for response and reliability. I replaced all mine with duralast gold distributor/cap rotor and coil. and ac delco spark plugs and wire and she runs like new. If you want to squeeze a few more horses and throttle response then yes it’ll help in that aspect.
nice truck. my first truck was a 1995 c1500 step side with some old 15s wheels tinted windows I got 4 10s behind the seat got a color matched chevy logo on the grill aftermarket headlights and taillights 3 1/2-inch dump at the axle for the exhaust only thing that's missing is the cowl hood for now I've had the truck almost 10 years. me and my 5-year-old son argue over whos truck it is lol. Last year I stripped it down to the frame and fixed it up. I'm looking for a nicer 5.7 to drop in it mines pushing around 450k miles now. I love that color on yours mines black now I plan on getting it a color close to yours that's my favorite color.

Adding a ported tb porting the intake, "cold air" and free flowing exhaust doesn't do much but use more gas without the pcm swap and tune.
