Most of the instrumental portion of Space Truckin' is a continuum of material from earlier compositions "Mandrake Root" (Shades of Deep Purple) and "Fools" (Fireball).
One can admire this band for several reasons - With this particular version of Space Truckin, i really don`t know where to begin - It`s for sure the best out of the 1000 other versions. +Mark Right on bro...for me the last 4 to 5 minutes is the greatest recorded performance ever. Ever. It's cool at the end how the whole sloppy mess of a jam just seems to hang on Glover's bass string for a couple of seconds before crashing thunderously to the ground. It's a musical orgasm; the audience's reaction confirms it.
generally I prefer Studio versions of songs by the 5 main British Super Groups but this live version of Space truckin' is fantastic and highlights Ritchie Blackmore's incredible guitar playing, John Lord's classical inspired Organ work and Ian Gillan belting out the lyrics not to mention Ian Paice on the drums.
Glover is underrated. When he left /got fired and was replaced by that coked up cock head i completely lost interest . Hughes and Coverdale destroyed DP.
Most of the instrumental portion of Space Truckin' is a continuum of material from earlier compositions "Mandrake Root" (Shades of Deep Purple) and "Fools" (Fireball).
Ian Gillan, all'apice delle facoltà vocali. Semplicemente perfetti!
Ian and the Boys really treated the Japanese fans to a real Gem here.one of the very best Live albums ever recorded 2nd to only the Allman Brothers at the Filmore East in NYC.👍⚡

Real music, played on real instruments, by actual people, who actually knew how to play those things. No sampling. Brilliant improvisation and riffing off each other. Today's " artists"? With a few exceptions not so much. If at all.
"We had a lot of luck on Venus
We always had a ball on Mars
Meeting all the groovey people
We've rocked the Milky Way so far
We danced around with Borealice
We're
Space Truckin'
Round the the stars
*Chorus*
Come on
Come on
Come on
Let's go
Space Truckin'
Remember when we did the moonshot
And Pony Trekker led the way
We'd move to the Canaveral moonstop
And Everynaut would dance and sway
We got music in our solar system
We're
Space Truckin'
Everyday
*Chorus*
The fireball that we rode was moving
But Now we've got a new machine
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah
The freaks said
Man those cats can really swing
They got music in their solar system
They've rocked around the Milky Way
They dance around the Borealice
They're
Space Truckin'
Everyday
Oh
Oh
Oh
*Chorus*
*Break*"
I can use Google too :-D
im not up for swearing gratuitously , but this is a " fucking masterpiece " of music ... the last 30 - 45 secs ALWAYS leaves me gripping the arms of my chair at home ...
The intensity in this..... !!
This was the first record I ever bought. It was 1972 and I was on vacation on the East Coast. I was 12.
QUE ÁLBUM POR DIOOOOS!!!
generally I prefer Studio versions of songs by the 5 main British Super Groups but this live version of Space truckin' is fantastic and highlights Ritchie Blackmore's incredible guitar playing, John Lord's classical inspired Organ work and Ian Gillan belting out the lyrics not to mention Ian Paice on the drums.
Paice and Glover, the finest rhythm section of any rock band ever.
Chris Skinner And yet the more I listen to Deep Purple, the more I listen to Roger Glover.
Glover is underrated. When he left /got fired and was replaced by that coked up cock head i completely lost interest . Hughes and Coverdale destroyed DP.
Grandi deep purple grande album 💎👑✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌✌🥰🥰🥰😻😻
Most of the instrumental portion of Space Truckin' is a continuum of material from earlier compositions "Mandrake Root" (Shades of Deep Purple) and "Fools" (Fireball).
Fantástic !!!
19:15 - that burst of applause at the end of the song - priceless.
Listen to this with GOOD head phones, and you will see a video in your mind before there was MTV!
Ian Paice on the drums ! Alright !
I have this album. Grande stuff!
Allman Bro's can't even come close.
I love organ solo
John Lord nailed it
It's good to have extended versions when playing live
First time I heard this 1971 probably I was 7- my neighbor was playing it.
2024 lets go. Space Truckin Evetyday...❤❤❤
