The vast majority of drivers do not know how to drive like this. Many people think they do, many people think they can… then they wrap it around a tree and total their car. Great driving.
Hey I have a V6 LT w/RS and I started tracking mine. Just looking for some advice here. I know there’s little I can do for power but brakes and tires would get the most improvement. I have standard 1 piston brakes but I suffered from overheating to the point where slamming on them was causing severe wheel vibrations. 1- should I upgrade to slotted rotors or just flat brembo rotors? I currently have some stock ACdelco (under normal driving I have weird brake noises and I suspect I may have warped them slightly. I am probably swapping them regardless) 2- i was using street pads (I know bad idea). Should I just switch to Hawk HPS pads? 3- i have 20inch rims. Given my earlier point about power, should I go for smaller rims with thicker sidewall tires to get better cornering grip? 4- are braided brake lines worth it? I am also using Motul 660 but my pedal is very soft even after proper bleeding. Should I dump this out and use the Castrol SRF you do? Appreciate any advice you have to offer, TY.
In at the hill climb right now so I'll do my best to reply but it's hard on the phone. #1 Flat rotors is what you want, slotted rotors suck. They Crack easier and don't do anything for heat. #2 I've only ever used track pads, big fan of the hawk dtc 60. #3 18 inch is ideal for the track, lots of tire options and it saves weight. #4 yes switch to srf and I wouldn't worry about the brake lines. Also a lot of people talk about warping rotors, that's actually really hard to do, you most likely just have pad deposit on the rotors or your tires spun on the rim and unbalanced.
Awesome driving dude. You've got balls of damascus steel 😂
Yikes! Lots of trees!

Great driving.
This is a great car. I am impressed by the ZL1 as well.
You’re a bad man. Killing it
Makes me miss my 17 SS 1LE
Woah! I will never think Track driving is risky again! This is nuts! What PTM mode were you in?
Everything off, can't use any ptm on hill climbs if you're trying to go fast
These cars are amazing, aren't they? I Have a 22 SS1LE M6 myself. I'm still shocked how good it is. And it can last for lap after lap.
They are indeed, love mine. Nothing this thing can't do.
Your nutz Christian! That was fun to watch. How did you place?
Thanks Eric, just posted the edited video of the fastest run. I got 1st in class and 13th overall.
🔥🔥👌🏿
