For as much truth as there is to criticisms like the wobbly aim, input delay, messed-up perspectives, etc... it's interesting how much the gunfights play out like actual shootouts you can see on real camera footage. It's either over in a shot or two because one party had their sights up and good positioning, or it's two dudes panic-firing at close range trying to work around cover and hopefully get lucky.
It's BECAUSE of those things. Same thing the people that hated the ICO can't wrap their heads around. In a video game you can't emulate fear, stress, body posture, micro-movements, etc. Video games have to put in mechanics that abstract these things and make them relevant like the ICO did for Squad, otherwise you just get laser tag like most tactical shooter garbage slop, where everyone fearlessly sprints around with zero teamwork or concern for actual tactics/positiong/the various other things that justify a 'tactical shooter' even existing other than lots of walking and long respawns.
I played the closed beta and for what they are going for, the feel of the game is freaking amazing, like it really crosses the line into that completely realistic zone, it’s kinda scary. And I picked up the controls in 5min. I love it

@@ninjireal Doesn't work, they just trade like in Siege or counterstrike. There is no way to implement fear of death in a video game, you HAVE to put in mechanics to emulate it if you want tactics to exist.
I feel like this was the jump in graphics I was expecting for next gen. truly feels like an actual leap.
You're blinded by the effects. IDC abt graphics but these are on par with modded racing sims from 2014 lol if not worse.

Love how this is one of the few games in this tactical shooter space actually doing something unique and different with it's presentation and gameplay, and many of the comments here are shitting on it because it doesn't look or play like every other game in the genre. Top shit lads. 👍

I found some weapons and I also found movement and "unique" camera system
The bugs and optimisation will never be fixed you all are dreaming on a clear scam

Pubg came out. Battle royales everywhere. Tarkov comes out and now we have grayzone and incursion. It’s a breath of fresh air to see something completely different.
This is the start of playing “movies”.
The foundation they have built here is dying to be built upon to produce the best milsim experiences we have ever had by a long shot. The ragdolls, general animation, the sound, and the way you actually would look down the sights or point shoot the weapon are some of the standouts to me.
Completely agree, they just need to tighten up the weapon handling and remove the fisheye and damn 🔥🔥🔥
I don't find the sound particularly good. At-least sound related to weapons being fired around and towards you. Environmental is very good.

@@andrededecraf The ragdolls don't step around in an effort to stay upright or flail their arms, so im pretty sure they made their own system for this game
@@andrededecraf nope. Just tries to achieve some of the same things. This uses unreal 5 which has it's own ragdolls which you can mess with, making them animated as they are also in a ragdoll state. GTA 4 had the rage engine which used a third party tool called euphoria.
@@cd-ft4hsnope. It’s the base unreal engine physics. They didn’t.t make shit in the game. The maps were bought from the unreal engine store, same for the animations and gun models.
A gunfight is above all else a clusterfuck, and games like this and Squad post-ICO capture that beautifully. Very authentic.

bodycam and unrecord are going to change the shooter genre no matter if we like them or not, its fun, and thats all we need.
the triple a industry has no more excuses and it goes to show how awesome the unreal engine is "video games are hard to make" is a thing of the past (if you're good at coding)
That's the catch. "if you're good at coding". Due to industry hiring practices, literally everyone is bad at coding at these large companies.

Don’t compare unrecord with body cam. Bodycam is basically 2 teenagers seeing the hype around unrecord, buying multiple maps off of the unreal engine market place and making an asset flip.

@@playbabethebookshelf6249 Considering youtubers can't even wrap their head around the ICO and think soldiers in combat IRL are fearless, stoic robots with laser rifles on stable platforms, this is harder for people to understand than you think. Their idea of guns and combat is purely based off of plinking at a civilian range and watching some youtube videos.

@@slick4415actually, these are supposed to be chest cams. when you die during a round, you take control of a drone. if the drone gets destroyed, you then can switch between your teammates' helmet cams, which are from a different POV than their body cams.
@slick4415 oh, I recend my last statement. I definitely hold up my gun so helmet cam can see down the sights.

The problem is, making a hyper realistic first person shooter means incorporating all the awkward aspects of real life, like the lag with turning, there is always going to be a balance between playability and realism
I’ll be honest tried it last night for first time and I’m blown away. My brother’s birthday I got it for him he tried it before I got there snd he didn’t really like it. Then I came over and from the very start was blown away. If you think you’re trying to hop on cod when you play this you’re wrong. I came in thinking I was going to war and I’ll tell you what I wasn’t the least bit let down. Played it all night. Then got my brother to realize he just needs to give it a chance. Now he loves it!!!
It's an asset flip. So was Unturned. This includes code mind you.
It's probably gonna have the same life span and progression as Unturned.

small precision, there's rain drops on the camera, and for the bomb, the closer from the ennemy spawn you are, and activate the bomb, the faster it'll explode
From the way youve played the first match, it feels like real warfare. And I love it, thats what the game was going for and they fucking delivered!
Raindrops do appear on the camera lens! ive seen it in the house map :)

Because in this game there isnt this terrible forced suppresion system where my gun sways randomly making it unrealistically harder to fire shots.
@@W3NNIS from what i can see hiting targets in Bodycam is not easy eather.... lots of unrealistic sway makes targets hard to hit sometimes even at close range. Both games have over exaggerated elements in shooting mechanics.
Love ICO was on every playtest.
Was able to playtest this, amazing game and sad playtest is over.

if they nail the game systems, they could easily introduce some found footage style horror coop levels, or some scp extraction action

We really need something new and unique, every game nowadays is just the same thing over and over again, while there are many, many very fun games, you still can't deny that no one is taking a risk to come up with something completely new. I haven't played Bodycam, but I'm very excited for it and Unrecord, no idea if I will like it, but I will absolutely try it out.

Expand the game, bring in more squad/teamwork elements, bring in some customization and release it on console to bolster sales
@@Aesthention It's a visually impressive game, but I'm not willing to be so sure that the initial interest will lead to eventual success. Gameplay-wise the control looks clunky, and movement and vision are quirky. Maybe it's better if one is playing the game, but looking at the footage even for a short moment makes my eyes hurt. All that considerd, this doesn't look like BicMac of a first-person shooter, so I'm hesitant to expect that this will appeal to a wide audience. There are too many inconveniences that you must get over.

Unrecord shouldn’t have released footage so early. Bodycam has among us style matchmaking for a reason. They saw the hype for unrecord and jumped on it as fast as they possibly could

I think its a gimmick game, not something that'll end up truly functional but something cool to experience. I think horror could use this concept really well though as we've already had some interesting horror games in this style.
It's kind of a cash grab, that's why. It's a ripoff of unrecord, which has an actual singleplayer story built around all this stuff like the bodycam, to where it actually makes sense. These guys just saw Unrecord and decided to take the idea and quickly cash in with the most barebones shooter possible while unrecord is still in development.

If someone announces a game, and then people start grabbing the premise of the game and churning out low effort slop like body cam that barely even qualifies as a functional game and not a tech demo, then yes, you're going to fail.

The thing is that the situation is differente and if it's a scam people are taking bodycam for Unrecord and if they are scammers they will destroy the confidence people have for this type of game and the real scammed people will be the guys at the Unrecord studio losing sells because bodycam has scammed people with the same type of game and promise

@@Conquered They built on the idea of Unrecord by making it multiplayer PvP and actually releasing it. Who cares if its fun. The entire point is to enjoy it, not debate if it used assets in a way you do or do not like.

Sounds like they copied the trailer for Unrecord when it came out lol. Pretty common to happen on roblox with how fast their engine allows people to turn games out.
This game looks so fun to play, I wish I could play it, but unfortunately my computer is nowhere near capable of running that game.

It’s not a similar genre, they literally ripped off THE SAME EXACT MAP AS UNRECORD’s earlier demo + copy/pasted the gun mechanics + added the same camera effects like face blur.
They knew what they were doing, riding on the unrecord hype to make people think this is unrecord.

Saving my cash for the other projects upcoming in UR5 code gameplay, the BOIS did a good job with the code in their project, but still some fixes to do tho.
Yes I tested played before the release and frankly I can say personally I hold my cash for this until some fixes are worked.
Congrats to the BOIS for their project tho.
I can wait another 3 months or so, for the new projects coming in UR5 for games like this .
