- Contractors Showdown is a VR battle royale that is realistic and tactical because it's made by Contractors, one of the best VR shooters of all time. In my opinion Showdown is one of the biggest and fullest new VR games we've gotten in a long time so thank you Contractors. Of all the VR shooters out there you've again outdone yourselves with gunplay and weapon mechanics. the map is gigantic and very pretty in VR and I was able to stream it on launch day without my cursed PC crashing.

Habie is the only TH-camr I know that can sell a game really well, without being any good at it.
i gotta give props to one of the OG VRBR, Stand out was a great game but it truly felt more PUBG then anything else. Contractors showdown is the eptiomy of warzone in vr and ive never felt more alive playing a VRFPS.
That game was ahead of it's time, literally, my Rift CV1 resolution was too low for me to spot people in the distance which took up 1 pixel 💀

The open size map is incredible genuinely incredible
Seeing it run on Quest hardware is honestly mind-blowing.
It's actually quite relaxing looking around the whole map while parachuting from high altitude, that's like a whole VR game itself.

Played solo the other day because I'm too scared to speak with strangers.
Got second place with 8 kills and learned that shotguns in this game are lethal from rather impressive ranges!
Real life shotguns, especially with slugs, are pretty impressive with the range, there's a reason they are used for hunting.
Is that why so many people don't talk back? Everyone was way talkative during the open betas.
Yo me too! Been over a year since I've even spoken in multiplayer games. Try playing with folks and after a few minutes I'm just tired of interacting with them.
Buckshot which is what all video games shotguns use is lethal up to but not limited to 40 yards. Just depends on where you hit them
@@Verociity people who played the beta arent your common gamers. they took the extra steps to play the game early, so they are gonna want to use its features. most people that dont talk, one day start talking and inevitably say "haha i remember when i first played and never talked to anyone" youll have WAY more fun playing as a squad who communicates rather then playing a third wheel to random team mates.

ahh watching the laser shakes is exactly why i spent 3 years doing a phd to develop a vr solution to remove tremors for all laser interaction, i should reach out to the devs just imeplement the 1 euro filter on all interactables i bet player satisfaction goes up!

This is hands down the best VR FPS to date. It's a killer app that showcases why VR is the future, beautifully.
I just had a cool thought someone could totally do. Train an AI using full body tracking data to fill in the blanks from only having a controller and headset to make people's bodies look like they're moving normally in VR.
I think Meta is working on that? I'm sure I saw something about that not too long ago
Yeah I saw a demo of them working on that exact thing, I’m pretty sure it’s implemented in some places like when your using your avatar in the meta hub thing
standable does that somewhat, not using AI, but will soon be able to fill in the gaps with the 2.0 currently being patreon only. The 1.0 avaiable on steam is also decent allowing you to have something similar to FBT, been using it on VRC

There's 20 million Quest 2 owners and almost 2 million quest 3 owners. Statistically, there are roughly 7 million active on quest every month, and contractors was already a well-known title.

i don't like population one because you don't grab weapons with the grap button, and your hands are just locked to the gun at all times.

If by "Broken Left Stick" you mean joycon drift then the solution is as I found: Take out the battery (if oculus controller) then Pour Isopropyl alcohol into the stick using a dropper or something then hang it upside down for a while until it evaporates. Repeat that 2 more times and boom the joystick drift is gone. (I had severe joystick drift on my left controller and after trying this it is completely gone).

Ok... I agree for VR (especially to play on Quest 2 and 3 etc) this is a great battleroyale, looks good and feels good. But in now way is it refreshing and renewed. Its hardly using all the possibilities from VR.
To me to this day, Population One is still the best battle royal as a game on VR. Climbing, flying and murdering around the map is just great there. I just wish those developers payed less attention to micro payments and skins, and more to marketing and getting people back in.
