Great reaction! The question of why would they invade a planet made up of 3/4 water is always a topic amonst fans of the movie. My take on was either, the aliens didn't know it was a weakness until they arrived, or they were a species that was desperate to survive and they were willing to take that chance despite the odds. Also not all planets have the same atomosphere, and Earth's elements might have been more condusive to the aliens such as needing oxygen to survive etc.
Great reaction, also i can delete that gripe you had, perhaps the Aliens didn't know water hurt them, thats why they left as soon as the humans used it to fight back
Great reaction, as you pointed out, the alien weakness being water is strange. I have watched this film a lot so my own head canon is the aliens in the ships are different from the aliens seen on the ground. My theory is essentially the ship aliens send down the camouflaged aliens to capture as many humans as they can. The fact some wounded ones get left behind makes them seem disposable. They are probably specifically manufactured to raid earth but are given short lifespans and limited intelligence. Why else would the alien attempt to capture Morgan at the end? By this stage the ships are reported to have left, there is no reason for the creature to be there confronting them. It was trapped and so missed the attack window and simply did what it was trained to do even though there was no chance it would make it back to its ship. Anyway, thats my take on it, probably not even close to what M Night had in mind but this way the water weakness makes more sense.
Even if the aliens knew that water could kill them, there was no way they could know that the house had water glasses throughout the house. Also, we are humans and lava is our weakness. We are literally walking on floating islands on top of lava. We would die too if it was splashed on us and poured on our faces.
the movie is symbolic. The signs for example, not just crop circles, but the signs of God working in his life. The water represents cleansing of evil and fear. The Bible uses water to give rebirth and renewing, Living Water who when drank of, will never leave a follower of Jesus thirsty ever again. You notice when he had faith in the signs of his life and began to "see" as his wife told him (also a biblical concept, like beginning to hear) then he gained confidence again and the alien represented evil. His brother then was faced with having to deal with evil on his own as the family moved on, and he in the house which represents their life had to deal with his fears of failure on his own. When the wife is dying and she says "Tell graham to see " etc, its like God told her to tell him, because he was right there , he said "im here" thinking she was losing her mind but we know that none of it was coincidence, she was relaying the message God gave her to him " tell him to see" because God knew he would lose his faith and God already had the plan to restore it. -This is why it seems silly as a weakness , but when you accept the symbolic nature, its very powerful. To see his brother swing using water to defeat evil, to use his faith in God to save his life, very beautiful.
Good thoughtful reaction as always! Another M.Night film with twists you will enjoy is The Sixth Sense with Bruce Willis.

Coucou !
Nice to see you again and Happy Halloween to all
Happy holidays!
This is such a good movie thriller/horror without showing hardly anything. I feel there’s a huge Hitchcockian influence.
Also, nice to see you doing a reaction! I missed or didn’t get notified about the Incredible Hulk reaction so I have another to watch!
YT shenanigans!
The one thing I can say is, if they never encountered water before, how would they know that's their weakness... Nice job with the review though 😎👍
Exactly

I like that one too.

You should watch The Village

5:44 that has nothing to do with the Me Too movement. Me Too regards women who have been sexually assaulted.
Please could you react to British thriller Eden Lake. Trust me when I say it's horrifying!
