I like your calm, quiet videos where you go into the device details. As I’m waiting for mine, I feel like I get a vicarious sense of what to expect from your videos.
I know this is an older video, but it is exactly what I have been trying to look up and I'm so happy with this discovery. Mainly because there are music related ones.🥳
I think they may have added a couple more templates since I've filmed this video, but I just double checked and the music templates are still the same.
@@Monsty it's not boring at all! I am currently waiting for my remarkable 2 and I wanted to learn more about it and I wanted to know the type of templates available. I came across your videos 😊 Really nice what you did! Thank you so very much 🥰
I literally found your video searching for the same info you were looking for. Thanks for the this, as far as I can tell this is still the only showcase of all the templates
Thank you for this information. I am in the processes of purchasing the remarkable II and am very curious about the templates. Even almost two years later after you posted this video it is difficult to find info on the templates. You are great.
Thanks for this vid. I ordered mine last week, the site said it was going through Amazon, so i was expecting a couple of days. Nope, it's shipped via DHS from Hong Kong, so it's gonna be another week after I was totally expecting it to be here today. Oh well, I'll have plenty of time to use it. This is why brick and mortar stores need to stick around. When i get me a new gadget, I want to play with it immediately! :P
I can understand cancelling due to the wait times, but I personally don't believe these templates make or break the product. If you're looking for more variety then check out GitHub. The templates are only guides for my notes and I'll post more videos on how I use the reMarkable 2 soon.
I would like to see if Remarkable 2 is usable for PDF guitar tabs & writing tabs , but I can't find a single video that covers this. Thanks for sharing a view at all templates, nice to see there are at least templates for music.
Thank you for this I've been looking for the same information for the last two months I'm surprised they don't have more for business organisation and target setting Productivity
Hi, I’m looking to replace my daily planner with the remarkable 2 that I bought (still waiting) but in every video I see of the daily planner, there isn’t any dates... just the word DAY, but what I need is like a regular daily planner that says “Monday 11 January”. But it doesn’t have it? Should I cancel my order? Thanks!
If you're only looking to use the RM2 as a daily planner, you're definitely going to miss out on a lot of great functionality and productivity. The "Dayplanner" template looks more like a checklist to me. You're correct where it just has the word Day at the top then the date on the far right. It leaves a lot to be desired. "Weekplanner 1 shows Week Number on left with columns underneath that might help a little more. I prefer "Weekplanner 2" to keep track of work deadlines. I used to be a daily planner-type person while I was still in school, but have since found the bullet journal month tracker to be more efficient. You have a few of options for your Daily Planner: download a template you like from online (GitHub, Etsy, reMarkable Wiki, etc.), draw out your own template then use the "select" tool to copy and paste onto more pages until you have enough, or if you're tech savvy create them yourself and export as a PNG.
@@Monsty Thanks a lot for your quick answer! I'm not planning to use it only as a day planner, but I want to consolidate it there with other stuff to write projects, notes, etc. That I usually carry in the same "binder" of my daily planner where i keep track of different projects. But for sure my intention is to have only one. What do you mean by "bullet journal month tracker". I will look on Etsy, hoping to find a template like this, but cant understan why they don't have a daily planner WITH dates since they already have the "notion" of a Daily Plan... Hope I explained myself. thanks a lot for your answer!!!
I see. Then you'll find the RM2 to be great and useful. For my Bullet Journal Monthly Tracker, I have one page that I created on a Landscape "Dots S" template where I wrote out the days of the month, what needs to be done within categories I've created for myself, and then a tracker. I'll try to make a video about it and maybe it'll make more sense once I show it.
Great videos - very helpful! I've just ordered an RM2 today! Just wanted to ask - can you set a password or code to open the device so no one else can access it without the code/password?
@@GillianMcDowell To be honest, I haven’t looked into any other stylus. I’m not sure that others are compatible. If you find anything out, let me know!
I wouldn't say there's a formal charting template. It depends on what you need it for. Grid margin large may be similar to what you're looking for. There's a new feature where you can draw a straight line, hold the pen for a bit longer on the end spot, and it will straighten the line. That might be able to allow you to create it on a Blank template. The other option is to download what you'd like into your rM.
I ordered my reMarkable 2 yesterday and I'm getting a little worried due to all the negative comments on shipping and it taking forever to ship. Is that true for anyone else? Batch 14 here.
It definitely takes a long time and is frustrating to have such poor communication on the batch shipment schedule, but it's well worth the wait. Watching RM2 videos online helped me along with trying to forget about it for a while.
I just ordered the 2 and actually pretty shocked by how limited templates are. Something as simple as a meeting template or calendar planner would be so simple and useful and instead they have a bunch of very random templates that 99% of us have zero use for.
I agree that many of them are random and I don't have use for each one. I pointed out a few that I like in the video. Prior to the RM2, I enjoyed dot templates in a physical notebook (Leuchtturm1917) and would create my own. That's why this tablet was ideal for me. If you're looking for specified templates, there are plenty available online.
@@Monsty so you can find and download or make your own templates? Just received my device and using your videos to learn some of the features. The "tutorial" tip screens weren't very helpful in my experience, so thanks for these.
@@nada347_ Both. You can purchase/ download templates that people have created, but I haven't done that yet. I'm actually in the process of learning how to do that. My current preference is to draw my own plan out on the rM itself per the situation. (e.g., th-cam.com/video/6et8rlEKwoU/w-d-xo.html)
I think everybody that needs more templates should get together and request them from reMarkable. Or is it possible that we can get them prepared for the community. Any ideas?
There are places online where you can buy templates that others have created. There are also community hubs for reMarkable on GitHub. I personally haven't wanted anything different yet since I like to create my own templates.
Thank you, this was exactly the information I was looking for. It struck me though, can you switch template mid sketch, or is it part of the document once you start using it?
Yes, you can switch your template mid-sketch. If you're in a Notebook using Lined Small on all of the pages but want to go back and change one of those pages to Blank, it will change for the one you've specifically selected and not for all of them.
Nice review. I have some questions Compared to a regular piece of paper what is the size, 9x11? Or compared to a regular notebook Can you create your own templates? I am almost bitting the bullet I do have a notebook at home that I got from Walmart
This is what's listed online: 187 x 246 x 4.7 mm and approximately 403.5 g (.88 lb) Compared to a regular piece of paper, it's ~9.5x7.5. The actual writing portion is slightly larger than 6x8. I haven't purchased or downloaded any templates yet because I like to draw out what I need. You can draw out your own templates, design them (if you're tech savvy), purchase ones that other people created, etc.
