Awesome review with the use-case scenarios. :) I had always been the pen and paper kind when it comes to that and a friend recommended that I get a tablet with a pen and with research, stumbled upon the Matepad 11.5S with Papermatte 2.0. I got mine a few days ago and it was great! Using it mainly for writing and creative work (not an artist but more on storyboard, plot ideas, etc.), with a bit of work splashed into the mix. I think the battery is pretty decent and I mainly just use Goodnotes and Office 365 anyway. The Papermatte screen was the gamechanger as there was minimal glare which is a treat when reading or writing. Also, the glide of the M-Pencil on the screen is akin to glossy notebook paper and you have a very soft leaded pencil or a gel-ink pen, or writing on a whiteboard using a felt-tip penliner with just a bit of resistance. Overall, really love the way it feels when writing or doodling. Much appreciate the review and I'll prolly tinker more with what it can do. Hopefully I can get Notion to work as I use it as well. XD

It's called "Notes", free pre-installed app from the matepad.
The mpen include charger?
Nope, their M pen 3rd gen has wireless charging. It has a magnetic feature on the side of the matepad.
hi,just quite wonnder, can you connect your mechanical keyboard to the matepad? does it work? i also got the same type of the matepad but sadly the mechaical keyboard that i have (wired one) cant functionally work somehow.
@@brandonstark1712 Hi, I'm not so sure if this device allows this. I got curious so I tried connecting it with my mechanical keyboard via bluetooth but the matepad is not detecting my keyboard as well.
@@chilly.soriano same here, and i tried to connect it with another non mechanical keyboard (cheap one) via bluetooth, and it surprisingly worked properly.
Didn't know it was so expensive 😢😢😢❤
In Russia it costs 40,000₽ (440$, or 395€) with a keyboard and stylus together 😅
But I already have a Xiaomi Pad 5, and I don't think my parents will buy me SUCH an expensive tablet...
@@noncinque yeah agreed
Was the problem with Notion solved?
@@kristinecleobalistoy7243 Yes! Turns out I only had to turn on the virtual keyboard in the Accessibility settings. Thanks to the person who suggested this in one of the comments on this video.
@@chilly.soriano yey! Thank you so much. sorry did not get to read all comments
hello po, I'm a college student po and thinking if mas okay na eto ang bilhin ko for my studies kesa sa laptop worth it po ba if eto ang piliin ko kesa laptop?
badly need po opinion pls hehe
Hi, I think depende rin talaga kung ano yung needs mo for your studies. The matepad along with its keyboard & stylus would be great for note-taking, reading pdfs, and light productivity tasks. Plus, it's more portable & lightweight than a laptop so good option sya if you're always on the go. BUT, if you need a device for heavier multitasking like opening multiple tabs for research, a laptop can handle that much better. Yung laptop ko is a mid-range laptop din from Huawei, been using it for more than 3 years now and okay pa di naman yung performance nya 😊
Can it convert your handwriting to text?
Yes, it does 😊
watching this on my 11.5 S
Can this device is suitable for students, like making PowerPoint or Word stuff?
Yeah, it has WPS Office for PC, for free
Wooow. How much did you spend on everything, if you don’t mind sharing?
Super late reply, sorry :) It was about P28,000 (this is in Philippine Peso since I'm from PH), an estimate of $500 more or less in USD
Is the m pencil just the 3rd gen or 3rd gen s package?
The M Pencil was the 3rd gen which came with the package when I bought it. But I think it's only for a limited time as part of their promotion. Though I'm not 100% ssure.
I prefer you the MicroG more that GBox because GBox drain more battery
Interesting, I will definitely try this out. Thanks!
Where did you buy it
I think the accessibility for this product would depend on your location. I just bought it from a reliable online platform from the Philippines.
Hi ask ko lang po, magnetic po ba yung pen nya? If yes po, nagchacharge po ba sya sa mismong tab?
hii, powered by battery po yung pen and yes its magnetic
Could you give me link of app GoPaint
I don't think I'd be able to do that, unfortunately, since it's a pre-installed app from huawei matepad itself.
هل يمكن استخدام تطبيقات الأدوبي عليه؟
وهل نطبيق الرسم مجاني؟
No, I don't think it can use adobe applications. You may consider iPads for adobe applications. But for GoPaint, its drawing application, it's free and was pre-installed in this Matepad.
How many hours can we use it if we use it for note taking and TH-cam only???
I think you would still have to charge it in less than a day.
Please tell me price 😭🙏🏻
super late reply - I think it would really depend on your location. I'm in the Philippines so it's at P28,000 or an estimate of USD $500
Hi - google services po ba available sa tab? Plan ko kase gamitin for work
@@surrealsanti8614 yes po, pero through a third party app. Need ko idownload yung GBox app para madownload yung google play store.
How much with keyboard?

Kaya ba nitong mag write ng number sa excel using the mpen?
super late reply but yes, I just tried doing this
Hello, how much yung bili mo sa unit and doon sa stylus pen? Thanks!! ✨
Hi, super late reply but I just bought it through Shopee for P28,999 including the keyboard (I think yung with keyboard lang yung may kasama na pen). But I spent less than that kasi may voucher discount hahah 😊
Hy. Please make note taking with this. Thank you.
Does the pen comes with the device?
Yes, it just came with the matepad when I bought it. I think it's part of their promotion but I'm not sure how long it will last or if it's only available on certain countries.
Hello po ate. Bibili na po sana ako nito pero medyo worried ako kasi may nabasa ako na the papermatte edition doesn't have any IP ratings and it should be away from dust, sand, and any form of water. As someone na pasmado ang kamay, palagi akong gumagamit ng tissue, pero I'm still worried po na baka mabasa pa rin yung screen and masira yung device 😭 Kaya hanggang ngayon po, hindi ako makadecide kung bibili ako or huwag na lang 😭
Hi, super late reply and nakapag-decide ka na siguro haha. but just in case wala pa, I think you can still have this and buy a screen protector, maybe
Yesterday i bought this Tablet, M pen 2nd gen , keyboard from saudi arabia , it's amazing but i'as searching for the Samsung galaxy s9fe+ but Unfortunately i didn't get that so i bought thisss ! Btw im a med student studying in Uzbekistan
@@Furqankhan_00I hope you had a great experience with this tablet as well! Wishing you all the best in your med school 😊
@@chilly.soriano Thankyou 🤍 dear sister
Hello my friend, I am also a medical student in Egypt. I want to know if this tablet is useful for college and my work, or is a laptop better? I am a second-year student. I also want it for the next five or six years. Will it be useful to me during this period?

Hi! If you don't mind, can you share where you got the clear case (the one with a pen slot)? Even with it on, can you charge the pen?
Thank you so much.
@@mercymoon4075 yes, it still charges but it wasn't a very fitting case, to be honest. I just bought it from a local store, I think they have a supplier who makes cute cases from China.

do you need a screen protector for this tablet or the screen itself is durable? planning to get one also
@@jowisunkissed I didn't put a screen protector on mine just to make sure it won't interfere with the pen. I think it's okay if there's no screen protector since it doesn't easily scratch 🙂
شكرًا!
@@Totokohi-Y_10 your welcome!
please give us the apk file to go paint
I'm not sure if that'a possible since the GoPaint app was already pre-installed in the matepad when I bought it.
@@chilly.soriano update someone already had got it out but it only supports Huaweis harmony os 4 not Samsung or any of that
