I need to make a writing board for my granddaughters reading journal. So I searched and you came up. Tyfs
Beautiful work! You celebrate serendipity. I make my writing boards a bit taller than the pages so that they also work as book marks. If you get up in the middle of working on the page most junk journal pages spring together.

Thanks for sharing all your tips of when things go wrong! I made a writing board and used these ideas. At 32:44 there is quite the grimace from the owl on the other side of book page. 🦉 🤔LOL!
We have a dog friendly office. There's always at least one dog around, and sometimes 4. The plastic bottles are catnip to them! Sometimes we have to take them away so we can hear clients over the phone! 😆
When you add water to your ink pad, you wash away all the colour- hence your Worn Lipstick being almost invisible after you have stamped. Only a re-inker can bring it back. (Outlining the pale image was a brilliant idea!)

For easier straight edge tearing, always use the larger - side to lift to tear, not the small little parts
I have several writing boards…. Every thing I find something that I think would be perfect for a writing board… I make it happen often decorating one side and keeping the other side more smooth…

wow!! that came out really nice!! I am always amazed to see paper hold out so long!!! I had a newspaper clipping from 1989 and when I touched it, it disintegrated into nothing but a few shards of paper! ....and not so old as yours!! wow!!! Super idea for a writing board. Take care!

A stencil instead of a stamp of the flower that I think would have been a better choice as I think the flower stamp was not a good choice just my opinion and maybe making a chalkboard with a piece of of chalk would be fun? I have so much paper that there are times that I really have to wonder about it all as I would really love to share with someone even if I had to pay postage at these prices. thank so much for the wonderful creative ways that you come up with and stay safe.....
