THANK YOU for taking the time and sharing your idea. I just tore my track on my Terex TC29. I went to hardware store and got 4' of 3/16 cable, and some grips. ( thats what I call them, U BOLT ) Could have used a little more length for tightening purposes though. It worked perfectly! The biggest problem i had was putting in the cable. When I drilled through the track, I encountered the cable built into the track. Drilling oversize holes helped but putting the stitch cable in was somewhat difficult. Once I got it through and all stitched up it is a work of art, so I sincerely thank you. Isn't it a damn shame that people take the time to find a fault in your FIX? For those old enough to remember Thump-er, the rabbit, famous for saying "if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say nothing at all", Peter Behn was the voice of Thump-er, he too lives in Vermont. Again, thank you for sharing and taking the time to post, it sure helped me. Dave, in Vermont
you can use a two length of chain both about a foot long drill four holes threw the track then use four bolts with heavy washers putting on the top and bottom of the split ,make sure the chain is a strong one .works the same . .

You should of changed the tracks at the same time because the right one wile wear out faster than the left know
