Funny as I lent mine to a mate and he tore out 3, I cut the rubber to fit drilled and bolted them back on and it's been great for a year, I'm not welding a plate to the rear of the idler as I've run out of tension. I get the most out of my gear

Hi there, question for you. How can I tell if my tracks have the ability to be “patched” like you have? I have a Kubota KX-161-3 and one of the tracks has a complete tear into the center of the track, but hasn’t jumped the center gap over to the inside half of the track. Looking at the design I have it doesn’t quite look like yours as it has alternating “cleats” and then bars going Thru entire width of the track. At the tear, that has a bar that runs Thru entire track but is becoming very loose right there adjacent to the tear. I just need to get another 100 hours or so and then I was going to sell it once I finished my homesite. Really bummed I am losing this tracks with relatively lower hours on them (rocky ground and 1250 hours). Any feedback would be appreciated. Cheers
