- Searching for tile outlets, a little ping-pong auction and a broken-down ripper! I had the ripper drop all the way to the max when I went and dropped it in ground. I'm pretty sure the hydraulic stop is acting up, and is what probably caused the level adjustment to bend. On top of that I had a disk bearing go out on one of the front disks- was a lil rough to try and get off with a big breaker bar in tight spaces!

We did a plywood ping pong table last year and my buddie and I had so much fun with it in my shop. Probably one of the best ideas we have had . Not quite regulation though . Lol

Hey Grant. A kind piece of advice... We put our scv for the hydrolic that controls the lowering of the implement in flote so that there is no pressure on the pumps. Hope it helps
Since you've got that nice of a shop Grant get a 60gal air compressor, a 1/2 air impact and 3/4 air impact and later down the road a 1" impact. All those adapters on that breaker bar were causing you to lose torque. Invest in a 3/4 and 1" socket sets for impacts. OTC and grey pneumatic make some of the best large socket sets I've ever used. Air cat makes some really nice afortable air tools as well. I use a 3/4 air cat gun almost everyday as a heavy truck mechanic. Try to pull towards yourself when breaking something loose by hand, I know it's not always that easy and or doable just a good habit to have. Awesome video as always.
Was planning on getting some bigger impact sockets set this year. Would be nice to have!👍
@@granthilbert5632 the new high torque battery impact wrenches are better than air imo. Our dewalt 3/4 high torque does anything our 3/4 air impact does and the Milwaukee’s and Makita’s have a lot more torque than the dewalt. Watch some of torque test channel’s videos and make your decision from there.

Fanboys will argue to the end of the earth about what's better. We have had good luck with our Dewalt but as I already said other brands have better performing impacts.
@@Jaxon-iu6vb all depends, especially price points but having air tools is always nice, not waiting on batteries to charge, or when the battery is dying it can really tax battery tools

Hey man I would just like to say I love your videos me and my dad would always be in a tractor together and sense we moved we can’t do that anymore and I want to be a farmer when I grow up but there’s nobody to give me the farm and I’m happy for you for following your dreams and see that your having a good time like me and my dad all ways had😄

Wrenching is just part of it when you’re working with equipment, whether you’re farming, excavating, trucking, or doing anything else related to equipment! You have acquired some really nice equipment to start out with. I’ve enjoyed seeing your journey over the first year of your farming endeavors! It’s great that you can work with your brother as well.
Third generation farmer on our family operation and I have a great deal of respect for you starting this farm! Definitely invest in quality impact sockets and a good air compressor. Also if you get a torch you can heat up seized bolts and nuts to help release them with an impact wrench.

Crankcase ventilation tube is what it’s called. Also check to see how much blow by there is. If there’s a little then it’s ok. But if it’s excessive then there is a problem.
If it’s puddling up on the floor,,,,, not good. Especially because he’s working it and it’s doing that. Not a good sign.
Will be checking it out👍 I've added about a 1/2 quart of oil in the past 250 hours. I'm planning to take into shop to check everything over this winter.

He man not being negative or anything just be careful under that hydraulic equipment a line could burst and it could fall we usually use cylinder stops or put a jack under it love watching ur videos man🤘🏻
The 8110 just watching Grants butt getting kicked at ping pong. Love vids, it’s really turning into Farming Simulator into Real life farming
The oil is coming out the blow by tube that's usually not a good sign, you should watch it closely to see how much blow by is coming out while it's pulling, a couple drops here and there is acceptable but that looked like a pretty good amount, monitior for oil consumption while your pulling it hard, you may have a cracked pistion ring
Grant, have you looked at used grain bins? I just looked on CL? I looked around Des Moines. Saw a few @$1 a bu 7000-27000 bu. 7000 is small. But you could keep combining after elevator is closed for night. Have small part of harvest to deliver later. Or larger part of soybean crop. A 25,000 bu if under 16% you could store short term with just air normally.
Every farmer needs to play ping pong in their cold storage shed with their brother it is actually pretty interesting

Been running m18 impacts, the new electric impacts are very impressive, no hoses no air

Invest in some sockets for that bar. Also impact over chrome. All those adapters were taking away from your torque. Yes a torch would help. I’m also baffled buy the bent depth adjuster. I would have to see that implement in person to really understand that one.🤯
Agreed on the sockets, I used to wrench on heavy equipment and have seen chrome sockets shatter on an impact

You should use some big pieces of cardboard to lay down when you are working on stuff help keep the floor clean 👍
Yes get a torch! You will use it a lot more than you realize! Also learn how to weld and get a welder! Don't you know Farmers have to learn to do all the jobs! Keep up the great work!
Pull some tile in those problem areas yeild will increase 20 to 40% in those areas
Buy a handheld butane or map torch. They work great for smaller jobs.
Things are coming along nicely. Also those gas prices you got are nice. I just paid $4.49gal here in northern cali.

All disel engines have some kind of vent tube
Definitely should invest in a big air compressor and air impacts with our DMI eclo tiger we can’t get most of the bolts off without a air gun

Love a bit of yellow, but it might be time to buy the Milwaukee 1000nm 6amp hr, and keep her in the cab……
get a compressor and an air gun, and the correct size socket sets for the gun they make a huge difference without adapters
cheater bar will be your best friend on just about everything
You should try and inline rip your fields. Helps get rid of a lot of compaction help bring up your yields a little
Hey grant! That tube is a blow by tube! I would run that tractor and see how much blow by you have and if it seems excessive I would look into piston rings ext. you can also call the dealer to ask questions on how much blow by is too much!
You should probably install drain tiles in your field so it distributes the water that goes into your field evenly

Having been the victim of many scraped knuckles and smashed fingers myself, I was wincing the whole time you were working on those nuts. Get some good penetrating oil it saves a lot of frustration.

Awsome video grant just a suggestion but you should get atleast impact sockets chrome sockets will break on you then you will smash more fingers 😆
That is a pcv tube. Not sure on yours but the newer Deere's have a filter too change every so often
Normally you want to work at a slight angle to the rows…. Works the stocks down better!

That tube is an oil blow by tube that’s normal. I’m a John Deere mechanic. Just check your oil regularly

Hey Grant, that bend may be from the check valve that releases the pressure from the hydraulic ram, if there is constant pressure to the shaft and the check valve isnt working properly, that may be your issue? Anyway, keep up the good work man :)

You gotta get a big cheater pipe to go on the end of the breaker bar. Also invest in impact sockets. They won't lose as much torque
