- ANC spokesperson in Limpopo Jimmy Machaka says one of the issues to be discussed in their provincial executive committee meeting today is the VBS saga.
This follows the publishing of a plea agreement affidavit submitted by convicted former VBS chairperson, Tshifhiwa Matodzi. ANC members, Florence Radzilani and Danny Msiza are implicated in the affidavit for allegedly receiving funds irregularly from the now defunct VBS Bank.

The sentence is for multiple counts which get served concurrently.
It's really not very just as he's effectively serving the same amount of time for one crime as he would for 30 crimes.
Also , you'll get sentenced to 6 months for stealing a pie and a coke but you get 15 years (out in half the time ) for stealing millions (which you don't even have to give back).

The reduction in years is most likely in exchange for the guilty plea. The state now has witnesses whose indispensable evidence will lead to more criminals being nailed.

When a person is taken to trial everything must be put on the table. All evidence must presented before a judgement can be reached. Matodzi has been found guilty, which means that nothing was hidden during his trial and all evidence is part of public record. That would include the affidavit, so why is this called leaking? It should have been there for anyone who was interested to see. Does leaking mean that a public document was being hidden, that a cover up was uncovered, that if nobody knew, nobody would talk? Otherwise his affidavit would be just another document amongst thousands.
DA received a donation from corrupt Guptaz, EFF received a donation from corrupt Matodzi/VBS.
SACP had it hotel conference bill paid by VBS Matodzi.
Now, why is DA and SACP are neglected.
If getting a donation from a corrupt person means you are corrupt then DA and SACP must answer the scrutiny without being selective.
The evidence implicate EFF, therefore on that the EFF must be charged .if DA and SACP are fingered they must also be investigated.For now loudmouth Juliarse and Fraud Shivambu must face the music

Jacob Zuma obtained a mortgage loan from VBS which was used to pay back the amount the Publc Protector determined he owed for Nķandla. With VBS now bankrupt it looks as if he will get away with paying back the money. The whole VBS matter stinks and I really feel for those poor black depositors who have been swindled.
