      Unfortunately South Africans voted almost exactly as they have been doing for the last 30 corrupt, lazy years. It's just that one chunk of ANC voters, those who support the man who sold South Africa to the Guptas, destroyed all SOE's and stole 246 million rand of tax payers' money for his own house, voted for him again. Fortunately that left the rest of the ANC (hopefully the slightly less criminal part of it) with only 40% of the vote. So the majority of South African voters still support the corrupt and lazy ANC-MK.

      It's concerning that you guys seem to not see black people who do a good job and non-blacks who do a terrible job. It's not about race. At the end of the day, we are a majority black country so naturally, the numbers are skewed.

    • @Perry_Talion
      @Perry_Talion หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@G.DD3SS You are right. The issue is not about race, we just have to be honest and face the facts. How often do black people give excellent service? I am black too and surprisingly I am always more happy to see a different nationality behind the screen, be it Somalian, Indian, Chinese, White, etc... More often than black, our sisters/brothers are just so chock full of themselves and attitude while the service they provide is a fraction of the complex they have. I cannot stress just how much more driven "in-general" other races are when put in positions of services by majority, there is just no contest and the fact that we are a majority does not do us any justice as black people and that hurts me a lot. True there are reasons but the fact that so little few try is a massive problem in itself.

    • @G.DD3SS
      @G.DD3SS หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Perry_Talion I have a different experience. I've had great service from everyone and bad service from everyone. Unlike most middle to upper class South Africans, who are usually the loudest on social media, I've lived among poor people and among more well off people. In more formal establishments, treatment is generally good but I guarantee you that in low-income and informal establishments, their service can leave much to be desired. Our people are often seen as cash cows and a nuisance. I experienced this as a child and as a young adult, buying from hawkers and non-South-African shops in the cbd. Treatment was often mediocre to bad but we bought there because they were affordable.
      This thing of painting everyone with a broad brush has to stop because it fuels division, intolerance and resentment. Everyone acts like they've never had good service from black South Africans. That can't possibly be true. Such sentiments also neglect the dynamics between local labour & employers.
      Employers are heavily prejudiced against local labour because of labour laws that set high expectations for them. When you treat your workers like a burden, it will show up in their work. Whereas, employers are overly biased towards our counterparts because they are usually over-qualified and open to exploitation. In turn, these workers are usually just happy to have a job and be in a better circumstance than back home. I personally know someone who is exploited by her rude, practically abus!ve, non-black employer but she won't leave because that job is the best she has to look after her family.
      It is also a fallacy to compare locals to other nationals. The better way is to compare South Africans working in other countries to non-locals working in South Africa. Locals in any country tend to be less motivated compared to others because they are either not as desperate for an income or as ambitious. It takes a specific type of person to venture into unknown territory in search of a better life. They take more risks and will do more for less because they don't have a safety net like locals. Even western countries have this dynamic.
      It is not good to allow our markets to be crowded out by unfair competition, especially as a developing country. Our people need to be trained adequately and given opportunities; not discarded for people who are overqualified and exploited. It is a pity that we have a government that chooses to pay grants instead of upskilling people and encourage self-sufficiency.
