We have a 2007 Expedition. Very same problem. My husband is in the process of replacing the transmission. Praying that it fixes it. So glad your problem is solved. God bless you.

I'm wondering if it's actually the transmission. My local Ford dealer wanted +$1,800 to replace a sensor in the transmission, but they weren't completely sure if that was the problem. I had the plugs, coils, and torque converter replaced and the problem returned after 3 months. Finally decided to go to Auto Zone and get a $10 tube of Lube Guard's Dr. Tranny Instant Shudder Fix. Problem solved!!! I wish you guys the best.

Actually our shutter problem started in 2017, my husband went to Ford and bought that same stuff to put in it that stops the friction. Well it lasted to 2020 and finally the transmission went bad. Took him two days to replace transmission and now she is running good. 😊🎁

Great video! I'm looking at a used 2007 Expedition Limited for sale by the owner. So, I'm looking at videos and other websites for information as to reliability and common problems. So far, this looks to be a very good car to consider. The one I'm looking at appears to be garage-kept with no visible rust--not even on the trailer hitch. This one has 121K miles and from what I've seen, this model is good for a lot more. Next step is to look at what they are worth to determine if what they're asking is reasonable. They want $7500, which seems to be a bit much--but maybe it isn't so bad.

The value will go down quickly I think. But from several calls I've gotten (most in the south) the transmission/torque converter issue appears at about 140k miles or shortly after. Just giving you a heads up. Overall it's been a good vehicle for me though.

So here's the latest update. The problem has returned :-(
I think the issue is with the manufacturer of the torque converter. Replace the converter but don't go with the OEM part. Look for better made part. I only did OEM because it was under warranty.

Please try Lubegard Dr. Tranny Shudder Fix first. It could be a plug or your coil, BUT PLEASE get the Shudder Fix for less than $10 and add that to your transmission. It took me about 3 days and everything was perfect. And the expedition is still going strong. It just turned 173,000 miles. Best of luck to you.
