  • The Welsh adventure contiues with a ride up the Devils Staircase.
As you approach the Devils staircase coming from Abergwesyn you ride through a lovely valley with tall rock faces on your right and a river in the valley below on your left. A beautiful location. I shall return there for sure:)
Here is a link to the camp site for anyone who may be interested:

The Bugout shop can be found here:
    www.thebugout.co.uk/
The shop is also located on the Celtic woodland camp site
    Thanks for watching
    Sandy

I’ve just done this road today, and may I say that an open face helmet was the best and worst decision I’ve made. The rain was like razor blades. Doing it on a fully loaded Harley with pillion was a test, but a test I’ll be doing again numerous times.

I wish I'd known about the Bugout campsite last September when I cycled up through Builth on my way to Anglesey. It's not too far from home though so will check it out. A lump in my throat and tear in my eye with memories of clinging on the back of the old Katana down the Devil's Staircase, thank you to you and Dickie for the 'spin' and I didn't even get wet!!🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

A great 220-mile day out on nadgery, bumpy, but scenic and almost empty roads... and only a few spots of rain. That white van was in the same spot near the Irish bridge over the Afon Irfon.
